Since the right side was hot and not the left I'd say that you've got a hydraulic pressure issue. Get that checked out.

How do you overheat brakes doing a burnout? The brake usuelly just holds the car back wheels stationary whilst the front wheels rub against the road, overheating the tyres.

FF cars don't have to worry about burning the brakes because their hand brake only stops the back tires.

On FR and MR cars, you have to hold the brake pedal which applies braking to all four wheels. It's called power braking and as you can see, is stupid to do for excessive amounts of time.
