I love Glee, BUT. The covers of West Side Story that glee has done...

I just like, Tonight (Jenna's Version), I Feel Pretty(on the mash-up with Unpretty), A Boy Like That/I Have A Love(only the parts where Naya sings), Cool and America.

I really hate the glee version for this song, for Somewhere, Tonight (Darren and Lea's version) and One Hand, One Heart.

I think that Lea and Darren weren't good as Maria and Toni. I hate only the songs when these 2 sing.

Saw the Broadway revisited version yesterday on stage at Michigan State University. Saw the movie when I was in 6th grade... the stage version left me speechless with its singing, dancing and stage sets. Definitely worth seeing live. It's a bit more 'R' rated than the movie, that's for sure. Probably the way it was in the original stage version on Broadway. Warning posters up that the play contained 'adult' content. If the stage version comes to your town, see it.

Hey, I think it's great that Glee brought a bunch of people here to introduce them to West Side Story, which they hadn't seen before, and other musicals, as well.

I had the great advantage of going to a performing arts high school (waaay back in the 80's!) that inspired my love of musicals; not everyone gets that kind of exposure. Yay for Glee for inspiring a love of theater. If you hate the messenger (i.e. Glee), that's alright, but don't hate the message - the music and the magic.

This is an amazing movie and the fact that you only pretend to appreciate it because you saw Glee is just silly. And back then they couldn't just auto-tune the cast to make them sound good, they had to have skill, which the cast of this movie did. I love this movie, I have literally, watched it dozens of times. I have also, seen several different versions of the play, but I have to say, that Darren Criss's Version, is by far the best version, that I have ever seen, or heard. His Vocals, his Acting, and his Stage Presence, are all Superior to any version that I have come across. Not to mention the fact, that unlike Richard Beymer, he did not need a voice double! Darren Should play Tony on Broadway, he would be AMAZING in the role !!!

Darren did a great job with this song, but there is something about the original Tony's voice. It just makes the song full of life to me. Also the last note Darren held kinda killed the song for me. I love the original Tony's soft "tonight" as the song fades away. Not every song needs to finish with a huge belting note. Sometimes soft does the trick.
