  • Your video is popular on Amsterdam

  • i didn't know what to get my girl for our anniversary, so i got her SCV

  • @DrmrGuy1979 In Parking Lot Etudes the beginning of this cadence is written with 7 stroke rolls, flamacues, and flam paradiddles. Awesome stuff. Much more interesting than this wimpy 5 stoke roll crap, but it had to be so much of a bitch that they just could never get it clean.

  • The groove reminds me of soul train

  • Would love to hear this cadence played as written.

  • I would feed a DCI drumline to practice in my yard...

  • Hey feel free to come warm up and rehearse in my front yard

  • "Honey, can you go grab the paper please?"

"Hey loves, you'll never guess what I saw next to the trash cans...well besides the cat, it's the SCV 2002 battery line..."

"Sure hun, now get me my orange juice"

  • Damn, I wish SCV would come and play in my front yard to xD

  • wtf is all this racket! im gonno give thema piece of my mi....oh wait....its scv...never mind...carry on

  • My favourite drumline beat. ;)

  • hopefully its not 5am! lol

  • @peachey2021 You wouldn't want to be woken at five am to the sound of SCV throwing down the sick beats? I know I would... start my day with style.

  • ouch ! the funk

  • hahaha the vanguard practiced at my highschool too... was pretty cool

  • SCV good to go, sir!

  • SCV is always allowed to warm up in my front yard lol

  • if the drumline played warmed-up in frontyard, i'd be speechless, but as a baritone player, if their low brass or brass line came to warm-up on my frontyard... i'd cry like a little bitch and shit brix!

  • my favorite cadence, anyone got the sheet music

  • @bdfollower hey can you send it to me?

  • haha wtf are they doing in someones front yard?

  • This was back in '03.

  • @bpet7138 '02

  • The blue devils are no match to you guys. Very clean cut and precise. Not a lot of rickity flam,, boom cocka, parradiddle nonsense like they play. They have a better tenor section i think but the whole line in general is far more advanced in skill than the blue devils

  • Anyone have music for this? Hit me up.

  • Which year is this? 2007?

  • what? seriously. no. way before 2007

  • @MeatXLoverX69X Well I just thought it was in 2007 just because they posted it in 2007. Do you know what year this is though?

  • 2003

  • @brandon1894 Thanks.

  • @brandon1894 2002

  • excellent work!

  • who evers yard that is there luck...

  • I wish that was my front yard!

  • i wish that was my front yard. lucky

  • maan.

if this was going on on my neighbours lawn i'd be jumping

  • DCI restricted cymbals for quite a long time...

  • i agree with chaosdude14 NO CYMBALS :(

  • whyy did they do that?

  • i have the snare part if anyone wants to trade..

  • foxxoloko---

i don't actually have anything to trade for them, but i'm trying to get into drumline stuff--if you could maybe send me the snare part?

  • link?

  • I've got the remixed version, Nuclear Wheelchair. Would you be interested in a trade?

  • Nice to know that your remixes are getting around. Glenn Dawson here, nice to meet you.

  • i have two snare double beats, double beat 10, and just a double beat, im not sure which one it is, and i have a peice called 3HREE: body for snare, ill give all thoes if u give me Nuclear Wheelchair.

  • 3HREE: body is their show music from 08

  • whos front yard?

    why?

    why not mine?

  • or mine?!

  • Some people know nothing about Drum Corps or DCI as an organization for that matter -_-

  • Agreed. :|

  • where are the cymbals

  • Lol @ cymbals

  • I love the tuning of those tenors!

  • if that was my front lawn i would have grabbed by snare and chopped along with the one and only SCV

  • sweet as...

  • must be early season

  • haha wow, i want them to warm up on MY driveway :(

  • This has been performed by SCV drumlines much more cleanly than this ...

  • I agree, but everybody has off days...

  • @unabletosleep SCV isn't allowed to have off days!

  • maybe its the audio...

but im not gonna lie its still cool to have them warm up outside on your driveway and lawn

  • @stevenjamesburks Which portion of this video lacked cleanliness?

  • Where can i get the sheet music for this?

  • You can buy it on tapspace

  • GO SCV! i so want to be on their cymbal line when i get out of highschool

  • wow... THEY HAVE NO CYMBALS

  • uh actually yeah they do....SCV always has cymbals....way to mouth off about it

  • Where the hell was this site at where the closest place they could warm up was in some dudes driveway? lol

  • for open class prelims, we all warmed up in some neighborhood.

    It was legit...

  • lol dude isnt it wierd warming up in wierd spots like that? i would think its wierd, you kno like makin all this noise on some random dudes lawn lol

  • dude they could warm up on my lawn any day they wanted... I freaking love SCV

  • does anybody have the mp3 of this?

  • i do

  • can you send me it?

  • out of all the DCI corps, which one do you think has the coolest uniform??

  • phantom!

  • the cavaliers.

  • i agree

  • vanguard

  • sounds like crazy army by steve gadd.

  • well first of all the beginning is based of off crazy arm... and steve gadd didn't make crazy arm it's like what the drum and fife lines in the olden times use to play

  • ahhh!!

i wish DCI played in my front yard!!

    cavaliers are welcome anytime!!

    :D

  • actually this is alot easier to march to than some other stuff. just try marching to 13th hour and you'll see what i mean.

  • I couldnt go to sleep because of this lol

  • is this 2002?

  • yes

  • what? oh yeahh the vanguard was at my house last night. why?

  • I can't magine trying to march to that....there are SO many places where what SOUNDS like beat 1 or 3 -- on the left foot (unless you're in the Cadets)are on the right foot or on an off beat...whoever wrote it was on the GOOD drugs....amazing how it lines up with the feet properly closer to the end.

  • Give it another listen (or three!); it's in 4/4 and most of the rhythms line up with the feet pretty well. Not trying to insult your intelligence, but most marching drummers play to their feet--not line up their feet with whatever they're playing.

  • Heh....I've tried, believe me! I start losing it around the 23 second mark....it might be my tempo is off juuuust a touch...great cadence in any case!

  • It certainly helps the feet to actually know the music. I couldn't mark time to it originally, but after I learned the tenor part, I could.

  • wow if they played in my front yard that would just be the shit! but im surprised that the residents dont kick them out, its like 6:00 in the night!

  • I have to admit I have never liked this cadence. Would like to see it played with the version in Parking Lot Etudes (7 stroke rolls, and flamacues).

  • So, do you not like the cadence itself, or just this particular intro? Because they're essentially playing the same notes that are in 'Parking Lot Etudes' (except, of course, the intro).

  • hahah thats fuckin funny yo they just post up in someones frontyard and start playing cadences

  • OMG ID FUCKIN CRY IF THEY PLAYED ON MY FRONT YARD

    SOOOO LUCKY

    SCV ftw!

  • EIU uses this, as well as my high school.

  • EIU as in Eastern Illinois University? I'm on the drumline; bass 1 :D

What high school are you from?

  • NCHS Marching Eagles. If you're on EIU's drumline then you might have heard of a Trent Mason. He's our percussion instructor. He used to be on the line (snare I think?), graduated since then.

  • Oh, and one more thing I forgot. You guys hosted us a some weeks ago. We marched after your football game. Our show wasn't so great yet then but everyone still had fun. Thanks. :P

  • Dude, Drumline should be an olympic sport!!!

  • @JumpShotDude

    fuck ya

  • whoever lives in that house is insanly lucky

  • and if there were know drumline people or..band people anywayz. they probaly don't understand how lucky they were..sad thought aint it?

  • yea, id be like dude the santa clara vangaurd drumline is in my driveway and die

  • haha yes me too. they're like like one of my favorite corps. 1 out of my top 2

  • their drumline is top 4 for me 1. Blue devils, 2. The Cadets, 3. Cavaliers then SCV corps in general i have 1. The Cadets, 2. Blue Devils then the cavaliers

  • as far as drumline goes i'd have to agree with you. 1. blue devils 2. cadets 3.cavies 4.SCV

but corps in general i'd have to say

    1. Spirit 2. SCV 3. Blue Devils 4. Cavies

  • WHAT!!!! no phantom!!!! regiment has the best snare line in DCI...but your right all together blue devils are the sickest

  • phantom it 5th on my list i cant only have 1 favorite corps

  • i kno right that would make my day right there

  • the drums or the players?

  • die please... scv rocks your face off and you know it

  • mfchavez1982...u can go fall down a well cuz u kno they r awsome and u just want to be as good as they r >=P

  • Yeah, the line *only* got 2nd that year.

  • i bet the people that live in the house and their neighbors were absolutely thrilled about this XD this is great, those bass splits were great scv is awesome!

  • this is 2002 SCV.

  • THANK YOU!!!!! finally, somebody agrees with me....

  • well, i marched euphonium 2001-2002 with scv. there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is 2002, so everybody should agree with you, because you're right.

  • everyone shut up is 2002

  • i wish that would be played in front of my house... lol

  • Wow wicked bass splits, YOUR DRUMLINE IS HUGE. we got me on tenors a guy on snare and hopefully 4 basses...

  • My high school line attempted this back in '92....... it was sooooo watered down. It sounded more like a mix between 'Crazy Army' and 'BD Paradox'86'. Our drum-tech was a Crossmen tenor reeeeeeeeject.... yet we took high drum everywhere. I guess it all depends on where you live. Lol!!!!!!

(.... oh and, SCV's snares were titlted in '03. Methinks.........lol.

  • dude!!! master theory worksheet or Boardman!! ....small world! where are you? i'm in michigan and we had a similar cadence! that was high school so it was watered down a lot...i can't seem to get my jaw up from the floor :p

  • They can't touch 1993 though!!!!! The O.G.'S were the best EVER!!!!

  • what year is this???

  • 2002

  • i think this is a little later than that, prolly 2003, i think or maybe earlier

  • its 2003, you can tell the difference between 02 and 03 in the first phrase (right before the stick clicks). in 02 they do a kicked paradiddlediddle buzz pattern, in 03 (this one) they do a flamadiddle flam tap pattern.

  • the snares weren't tilted in 2003 though....

  • Yes they were.

  • where ARE you guys? hahahaha

  • do cymbals play with them for this?

  • Cymbals aren't considered battery in DCI

  • what?

  • Hey cru4you! I see you all over in the drum and bugle corps vid lol.

  • thank you?

  • Wow, shut up lol

  • I don't believe so.

  • I agree

  • Whoever owned that house was one lucky SoB.

  • no joke, if they came to my house and started playin, i woulde be so fin amazed.

  • yeah man, I'd definitely shit a brick if I woke up to the sound of the vanguard drumline practicing outside my window...
