The reason mill creek won, was because they were a lot more cleaner and yes Grayson did have more diffuculty, but a touch out of tumbling is more of a deduction than a simple bobble in a stunt. And in tosses, Mill creek had 2 tosses at maximum diffuculty and Grayson did not. And Mill Creek had more elements in the dance which more than likely helped them with their points.

She landed and basically tripped over her own feet; wild as it sounds...GHSA judging is so confusing my team us not a perennial powerhouse, but we've def come a long way, but 5 point deduct for the boys baggy uniforms - no warning; nothing mentioned at first comp....we have trip jump combo but can't get a 5 for difficulty

@BIGBOYMATD I completely agree!!! I'm the same, I don't know anything about these teams, I'm from NY. I have been in cheerleading since 1990 when I was 4 and have been coaching and judging for the last 7 years and while I'm sure the scores were very close, Grayson should have edged out Mill Creek.
um millcreek worked their butt off and deserved to win state
how did they not have a solid routine and where do you see almost drops. there are bobbles yeah but grayson had actually tumbling falls and millcreek's choreography was great so you dont have much to say
@KayleeLynnJoslin They may have worked really hard, but so does everyone else each year! And as for the choreography for Mill Creek, I don't agree with you at all!! Not only was it just not good, It was preformed extermley sloppy!! The tumbling was outstanding and I think they did a really good job, but Grayson just had a better routine!!
1st place material!! if they didnt have a slight slip, or if chattahoochee didnt have that step out, they would have been top two!!! well grayson still made it.lol

and mill creek did not have a solid routine they pretty much almost droped 2 stunts and everything was off count and not on point and the big flub on the left side of the pyramid looked stupid they shouldnt have one!!!
i think they end up choosing the more 'mistake-less or flawless' routine/school. i always see that kind of pattern (even when the other school that didn't win had 5x the more difficulty and basically nailed their routine, but had only ONE mistake)
grayson = one tumbling bust in the beginning with the 3 to fulls. but great stunting and tumbling [a lot of difficulty]
mill creek = good solid routine [shaky pyramind of the left side, but saved it]
did the girl fall over at the back in 0:16 and they should soooo of come first!

What I got from watching the top 4:
1. Grayson (They were just so clean and their heel stretches at the beginning were awesome and difficult!)
2. Chattahoochee (I feel they had the difficulty and they were all very in sync but I don't think they had as much in as Grayson.)
3. Mill Creek (Seemed like a very safe routine. Their tumbling was FANTASTIC. Not all girls did a double down, though)
4. South Forsyth (Wasn't much difficulty. There was not as much in the routine compared to the others.)

yeah and ghsa doesnt count bobbles and its only a fall if someone hits the ground so that girl got a deduction as if a girl fell out of a stunt
