  • One of the best songs ever wrote love this song

  • Those telecasters have such a sweet ass sound!

  • Go IUP!!! Best time of my life!

  • @jorykirk ..

I miss seeing the Clarks @ Culpeppers

  • Just saw them last night at 123 Pleasant Stree in Morgantown, WV. Great band, they deserve to make it big! They played non stop from the time they went on stage to the time they quit.

  • they came to my town and played for us at our park!!

  • Second only to The Gathering Field...

  • Rob James you are the Master of the Midwest Melody!! GO PENS !!!

  • The best thing to come out of Pittsburgh besides the Penguins and Pirmanti Bros. sandwiches.

  • I remember seeing these guys at UPJ in 96... when their big hit was cigarette. Man, a lot's changed since then. Now I hear there's a rumor they are breaking up? Man that sucks. They really bring the feel of the heart and soul of the burg' to life.

  • the clarks wer badass at somerset summer fest it was the time of my life lol

  • great song i wish this guys would go BIG like huge big instead of being a pittsburgh local band.. but anyways i seen these guys in pittsburgh in june and great show.. cheers from wv

  • mr. smalls is the place to be. and now the clarks were there. and now my life is complete.

  • The Clarks cut their teeth at The Indiana University of Pennsylvania

  • the best: better off without you, but this song is great too....

  • great band and song

  • who will EVER forget 911, It's a beautiful heartfelt

    song by a fantastic band

  • the recording industry has nothing on these guys.. real artists who dont sell out are a thing of the past...with an emphasis on artists...

  • It's only depressing if you think about it that way. Obviously something reminding you of 9/11 is going to be depressing, but still... It's about keeping your head up and looking towards the future. And as for the recording industry thing, well, people tend to like depressing songs in a twisted way because they can identify with them in a way.

  • Go Scott...Damn The Clarks are gr8!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! I wont forget today, the pain will go away...colleen phoenixcxooo

  • its always amazing when there live, not once when i've seen them have they put on a bad show, aside from the amp's going out it was abso-fucking-lutly amazing, GO CLARKS! AND GO PENS!

  • and STEELERS!

  • NOT PIRATES!

  • and pirates but mostly steelers!

  • i love the clarks i just saw them at beer fest here in Pa in tarentum they were AWESOME!!

  • I'm a HUGE Clarks fan but for the love of God, Dave needs a new hairdo!

  • such an emotional song - i remember when this came out! it's such a good song you can even see the lead guitarist tearing up around 1:20

  • great song it has a really good quality.

    live

  • Thanks for the background info about the song. Next to their cover of "The River," this is my favorite song of The Clarks. Just like seeing them live, they sound as good on this vid as they do on their CD. VERY underrated band.

  • I have know this song for about 7 yrs and never knew it was about 9/11!!! Great Song and great band from Pittsburgh!!!

  • Please come back to Morgantown !!

  • I really like this tune .....i've wathched it on this website time and time again and now knowing when and why it was written i love it even more....thx so much for posting this Brit...The Clarks jam.

  • Now thats great songwriting. Awesome harmony!

I used to be in a band that covered this song

  • This song was written the eveneing of September 11th after Scott watched all the TV coverage and felt the need to put something down on paper.

  • I didn't know that. This song has new meaning to me. I think my band will cover this once again. Thanks for the info Brit..

  • On the Still Live DVD there are extras where the band members talk about songwriting.

Scott explains the how, when, and whys of writing this tune.

  • I tried to find the DVD here locally, i was unsucessful. I think i will try ordering it somehow. If you have time, would you check out my band? Go on Myspace and search Front Street Project. Let me know what ya think!! By the way i'm the drummer
