I can explain.  Mayweather has a reputation for picking apart his openents with preocise counter punching. Mayweather has the highest average punch success % per round of any boxer in any weight class (based on many fights against WORLD CLASS OPPONENTS - eg marquez who was rank 3 on p4p list ate the time)

Mayweather is a FIVE DIVISION weight champion and a double 'lineal' champion. Kahn is not yet a lineal champion in his own weight class.

If you want the simple answer, in short mayweather has never took the beating that kahn took against mandaina in some of those rounds especially the 10th.

Roach said he considered throwing in the towel!! He received 152 punches and about a third were power punches.

Mayweather is so good for the reason suggested in his nick name 'pretty boy' mayweather as he hardly takes punches. He never has or will have a bruised face like kahn did after the fight.
