@MoonLightAngel4EVER It's swimmable fabric, made for water. And even if it was regular fabric, if water gets into it, i'm pretty sure it won't ruin the tail, just probably fade it.

Hi Sasha! Very impressive! Your instructions are excellent. I'm going to make one for my cousin. Making patterns is a lot easier with a roll of newsprint end. You can get one at most newspaper offices for about $10. I make seam allowances with a compass (geometry set) open to the desired width and run the point side down the edge of the pattern so the pencil draws the allowance line. I'm going to put a zipper on one side so she can walk in it. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks!

@MoonLitCat hold your legs together while swimming. My sisters, friend and I put dive rings around our ankles (that was six years ago. Still little kids... tried it this year, ouch! ) So, if you're still little, you could do that. What me and my sister did this year is we checked each other's swimming- we practiced with our feet together and had the other person watch.

@BeautyMark1011 Or you could just make it not so skin tight. Especially around your ankles. Then you could still walk. Just have it be a skirt that gets thinner as it goes down and then flares out at the bottom :D
