  • Don't know who you are Joe, but nice song reminds me of home in Northern Ontario

  • would love to use this in a snow goose hunting movie, if we get it together

  • a wee bit of bluesy harp behind this would set it off beuatifully in my small opinion. i like the hammer on/off thing.

  • I love your music Joe. I think your spirit translate through these tunes. I wish you had a cd. 5/5

  • thanks very much!! I love your music too. I am working on a cd at the moment, but being new to the whole recording thing it is taking me some time.. I'll keep you posted

    all the best

    joe

  • i can help you if you want my help... i took a few classes. i am no expert, but i could help you get a minimal setup like i have

  • Wow, this has a western blue's feeling to it, I LOVE this one, amazing job joe 25 out of 10

  • chords are E minor and A minor, no?

  • yep, that's pretty much it

  • What are those major sounding chords between the different blocks of verses, if you would be so kind?

  • it's a G

    320000

    then

    200000

then a slide from fret 2-4 the back to 2 then open then 2 on the third string

hope that makes sense - sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this

    joe

  • thanks, that helps alot!

  • you are amazing seriously (:

  • thanks, and for subscribing! :)

  • Joe, good work! Another beautiful song from you. As for talk of female vocals and pianos and stuff...I think just you and your guitar are perfect enough. I love the raw quality of your voice.

  • thanks, and you might be right. I think you can lose the essence of a song/music if it is over produced and I do generally like the fairly sparse acoustic stuff.. all the best

    joe

  • have you checked out AJDeanR?

  • Best so far by a long shot. This shows your best voice and has a real strong feeling to the lyric.

  • thanks, I like this one! best wishes

    joe

  • Hey Joe,

great lyrics and guitar riff. Been off the Tube for some weeks but it's great to tune back in and find this waiting in my subscription menu. Thanks! You have enough songs under your belt to tour New Zealand with now!

  • Great work. Might have a look at this book.

  • it's a great read! very uplifting

  • God, you just keep amazing me, Joe! I can hear some super dueting happening. You need a Lisa Hannigan-esque voice to accompany you. What you've got here is damn near perfect, but man, with a female voice, I think it'd surpass perfection.

  • would definately be good to have some female vocals on this, maybe some other instruments too! cheers

    joe

  • Agreed. Female vocals and perhaps strings of some kind. someone plunking the piano would be cool too. However, great song of yours. I like it!

  • nice job Joe *****

    bockA*

  • You always deliver a certain mood with your songs. Well done again. You planning a CD in the future?

  • CD hopefully later this year, cheers

    joe

  • thanks amy

  • Nice job Joe.

  • thanks shawn

  • Hi Joe,

Simply lovely; 5+ STARS! You are truly a gifted songwriter!

    Cheers to you my friend

  • thanks!

  • Lovelyyy song, love it

  • thanks Tihama!

  • At first I thought this had something to do with Camel's instrumental rendition of Paul Gallico's The Snow Goose. After doing a little research, it turns out that William Feinneses was inspired by the same thing Camel was. Anyways, this sounds good! Keep writing your own stuff.

  • yes, you're right.. he found a copy of 'the snow goose' in a hotel library and was inspired by it to follow their migration.
