Romansch standard should be the main and supreme swiss national language. It is the only proper language of Switzerland. For Switzerland it desirable that all swiss speak their only own language, as a common language to communicate with each other among them, so it can differentiate itself finally and definitively of France, Germany (which includes Austria) and Italy, establishing its distinct identity.
@Demoesceptico Also should not mean that they stop knowing French, German, Italian and even English which is the current lingua franca. The Swiss Language, or romansh standard, would be the ultimate, metapolitical and eternal national unification tool, and final shaping of identity, of Switzerland.
well, no one knows what Latin really sounds like, but the modern approximation of classic pronunciation derives from the Catholic Church's use, which goes back to the Third century. Mind you, Latin only became a dead language near the end of the 17th century, which is pretty recent. Additionally the academic study of Latin has remained the same since the Renaissance, so I assume the pronunciation would remain intact.
@beatlebreath Haha maybe "It looks like Latin" is more appropriate. But it's very similar to so many other Romance languages.. it just has weird spelling, haha.
It sounds like German that wants to be Itailan but then puts on a French coat and then decides to be German again but then says, no I think I want to be Italian. Very interesting fusion!
Okay leo, let's see...is Romansh indoeuropean? Does it contain elements of Latin, Greek and Celtic, et al.? If the answer to any of these questions is yes. Then it is a fusion like most languages.
isn't this rumantsch grischun? i think it shares also some similatirys with french. would be interresting to compare it with some patois. it sounds so much like italian then portugues sounds like french.

@ceniboy why would anyone want to learn this stupid language, you mostly hear barfing sounds when hearing a Romanian people talk or sounds similar to punching a cat and + romania is worst country in the world, nothing to see there, ugly people, poor just poor almost everyting, not good at any sport, not to mention science
@marekaludjerica You're mixing up something here. This is not Romanian, it's Romansh, one of the four Swiss languages. Read before you comment, silly head :-)
@marekaludjerica : your comment only proves how ignorant you are. Romania is ugly because it is poor and it has ugly people? :)) wow, you must have thought a lot before speaking this tremendous piece of wisdom. About the sport and the science, please inform your self before you speak..actually please, just think in general. Thinking is an uninteresting activity but it helps a lot. Just a hint: the computer you share your wisdom on was invented in it's original form by an ugly and poor Romanian.
@ArianFa sorry dude i cant give you a dollar, enjoy your worthless life as a poor Romanian fucktard and accept the fact that your nation is just an insignificant piece of crap and no one has ever heard about your achievements in sports and science
@marekaludjerica wow, you have a serious problem with Romania "dude" :)))) I don't need to insult you, others do it better than I would. Must say though, despite your ethny, your english is pretty good.

@aageofloneliness
I can clearly understand many of the sentences on this video and I speak spanish.
To everybody:
It looks familiar to any Romance language cause "it is" a Romance language.
It surely has German influence, I have seen other videos and though some phrases and words are inteligible the accent is quite germanish.
Awesome.
