Taxpayers for Common Sense have the statistics on their website. It is the conservative Red States that request and insert MORE EARMARKS than Democrats ever have. Of the top 10 earmarking legislators, only Diane Feinstein represents a large state. Only THREE of the top 10 are blue states. And there are only SIX states who are blue in the Top 20.

Republicans only object to earmarks for schools, roads and bridges. Earmarks for Iraq and major corporations are patriotic.

You're absolutely right! I'd rather have that telescope in Chicago (that McCain denounced), than throwing 10 billion a month out the window in Iraq..for nothing...At least is the American people using that telescope or whatever..

You gotta be joking complaining about Hollywood producers..Just so you know, one of our biggest exports in the world are movies. When things "Made in USA" are becoming a rarity, the movie industry has always been and will be a strong seller worldwide. So yeah...

Kind: I've worked in Hollywood. Producers there don't need any "financial aid". Anyway, our biggest film export happens to be pornography.
