I thought he was in GGXX semi at SBO, he qualified for a GGXX# SBO too, and he've beaten RF(one of the best GG players) in some EVO and Absolution finals, so I guess he was at tournament level.

Show me a decent fighting series with something as flawed as an instant kill from full health, and I might take a "positive" comment towards GGXX gameplay seriously. MvC2 rocks, despite being a flawed game though. Whoever can be the cheapest is the rule to winning in that game, and it seems to have transfered over for this pile of flaws. Like i said, nice graphics, nothing else.
you can easily block the insta-kill, the intentionally made them quite difficult to land against a good opponent and in turn take away your ability to do specials when you miss, thats not flawed thats an aspect of the game. MvC2 has nothing to do with being the cheapest, any character can beat any character, its based on their level of skill, example - go watch Clockwork take everyone out with Strider, if your not good at these games, then i understand why you think theyre "flawed".
Lol, you could try to land a million instant kills on me, and you MAY land 1. If you get lucky. Instant kills are like ten hit combos in Tekken, they are fun for beginners, useless against skilled players. Every once in a blue moon it will throw one out there and may catch someone off guard, and thats the whole point of them. This is one of the most balanced 2d games out there, which is amazing considering that its only the second installment.
I can beat a player near my skill level with any character on the game, no matter what character they are using. Matches are ALWAYS decided by who is the most skilled with that particular person, just like they should be.

I gotta say that this game was pretty balanced. The only time I ever see Iks is after a dizzying combo (not very often).
Definitely better than the combo spamming in MVC2

Meh. Daigo should probably stick to the good 2D fighters. As sexy as the sprites are in Guilty Gear, it's a pretty awful series, gameplay wise.
