Who cares for an FF7 remake? How about they just start making NEW final fantasies for once rather than all this prequel/sequel/ remake bullshit. Within the last 10 years they've made 2 real FFs (not counting 11 since its an MMO). Within 10 years before that, they made 6. I understand graphics and engines have changed but there's no excuse for that shit.
@CrystalCrazyCake No, these are PS1 intros. The reason these are so amazing compared to VII is because this came out later than VII did. They also probably spent a lot more on this intro than the intros to IV-VI because these were only NES games they were remaking.

@RATPT0I Completely not true. The reason for that cutdown in content was because the company decided it would port the game over to the 360 midway in development. That and they were just trying to move the game in a more character driven focus.
The space limitations for a Bluray disc far exceed that of 3 dual layered DVD discs, so to port the game over reasonably, either the Xbox version ships with 5-6 discs, or content is cut in both versions.
@AzureVermillion Yes, it's POSSIBLE to remake in on PS3, but much to costly. I read an interview saying it would take about 3 years on just the graphics alone.

@fatpandas01 I played Rev Wings. It was bad in my opinion. Like, it wasn't too bad story-wise, I guess. But the gameplay was rather slow...imagine tactics...but 5x slower. So everything is either a battle or overworld navigation. The difference between Tactics and RW is Tactics is tolerable. XD

@kyoko06 Well, the whole reason they kept remaking these games is because after FFVII, they wanted people to know that "FFII" and "FFIII" were actually FFIV and FFVI. They also wanted to release all of the games that didn't make it outside of Japan. They were able to do this because, well... Compared to remaking a 3D game (especially FFVII), remaking a 2D game is a hell of a lot easier. And remaking a game like FFIII over FFVII is justified more because it never made it outside of Japan before.

Do you say that because he throws knifes? He can use 8 types of weapons, he just used the most appropriate one. If you play Dissidia, you'll see a lot of knife-throwing from him. Even in the opening FMV.

@sinorsaint The music is probably one of the best in the series with it's only competitors being FFIX or FFX. No character is left out. Each one of them have a legitimate purpose and you'll love their introductions no matter what emotion is displayed in their entrance be it pain or humor. Some moments in the story are completely heartbreaking and, you'll hate the game at times but when it's all over, you will undoubtedly be beside yourself in the unnamed emotion Final Fantasy VI delivers.

@riquinhowarrior1 Realize that when FF1 was originally released in the late 70's, it was completely original. Nothing in it was cliché or anything of the sort it wasn't a knock-off. It was the best thing ever created and it was revamped in an awkward way in FFII that's why no one likes it because of the battle system. Great story though. They brought back the first battle system in FFIII(JP) and then introduced ATB in FFIV which is Japan's favorite game even now.

my only complaint visuals wise is that Firion doesn't have his rockin' bandana like he's had in every appearance except this movie and the 8-bit version,

They should've removed Maria's voice actress from this. The "screams" were just flat-out annoying (at least they didn't try to make Mateus laugh) and her breathing when everybody was running would add to the realism if somebody ELSE could be heard at the same time.
I'm not saying they should've removed her falling (Leon NEEDED to hit that damn black knight) I'm just saying they should've removed the screams from there.

Do you say that because he throws knifes? He can use 8 types of weapons, he just used the most appropriate one. If you play Dissidia, you'll see a lot of knife-throwing from him. Even in the opening FMV.

@sinorsaint The music is probably one of the best in the series with it's only competitors being FFIX or FFX. No character is left out. Each one of them have a legitimate purpose and you'll love their introductions no matter what emotion is displayed in their entrance be it pain or humor. Some moments in the story are completely heartbreaking and, you'll hate the game at times but when it's all over, you will undoubtedly be beside yourself in the unnamed emotion Final Fantasy VI delivers.

This is my favorite Final Fantasy but its so underrated...
The characters were awesome! I love them all! I'm still hoping to see either Minwu or Leon in Dissidia.

A shame: this game is are so underrated! and FF1 is overrated compared in this Game.
FF1 is original some in things, however is tipical history for RPG. and...
FF2 Have:
Original History for Nes.
One the Best RPG songs for Nes.
I Liked system upload arms and magics. is Original and Very Good.
is need skill for:
Leave your chars and your magics in a big level.
and for be able make 100% in Game.

@riquinhowarrior1 Realize that when FF1 was originally released in the late 70's, it was completely original. Nothing in it was cliché or anything of the sort it wasn't a knock-off. It was the best thing ever created and it was revamped in an awkward way in FFII that's why no one likes it because of the battle system. Great story though. They brought back the first battle system in FFIII(JP) and then introduced ATB in FFIV which is Japan's favorite game even now.

Both are amazing for Its Time, just think, in my opinion inside battle in Versus FF1 FF2:
FF2 has the Greater Good value.

@riquinhowarrior1 i think this is jsut your favorite and your trying to make everyone else think so cause i played both 1 and 2 and i like them both but F1 was better in my opinion simply because the plot was rather entertaining and new FF2s plot is rather simple the difference is the characters actualy ahve names and back stories only thing 1 lacks

my only complaint visuals wise is that Firion doesn't have his rockin' bandana like he's had in every appearance except this movie and the 8-bit version,
although, they could have made the cutscene before the sprites.
at least it isn't like the FF5 scenes. Butz really does look (and smell) like butts

does anybody know the game where you are the Daemon and you switch from him to a human and you play both of them in the game. Later in the game they cross paths and they fight together... but i think that they fight against each other at first? lol can anyone help me out?

They should've removed Maria's voice actress from this. The "screams" were just flat-out annoying (at least they didn't try to make Mateus laugh) and her breathing when everybody was running would add to the realism if somebody ELSE could be heard at the same time.
I'm not saying they should've removed her falling (Leon NEEDED to hit that damn black knight) I'm just saying they should've removed the screams from there.
