  • gosh i think you used the phrase "you just" about a hundred times in 5 minutes. How effective was that tutorial? Lay off the red bull, slow down, and limit your instructions to what is only necessarily like all the other cool instructions. Dont get me wrong...Im appreciative of these instructions but there is not an apparent slow motion setting in youtube.

  • Hi there.

I'm trying to install SDK but i can't find "SDK Manager" option on my iMac. I see:

    add-ons

    platforms

    SDK Readme.txt

    tools

BUT IT DOES not give any option, does not show SDK Manager.

    what should i do?

    Thx

  • How Would you make like a game that is like mw2 ac130??

  • thanks, great tutorial

  • Brilliant, thanx man

  • and took me a quick minute to figure out how to do it alone but...

when you open eclipse and then click on android go to sdk location and select the folder where you put the android sdk then hit apply.

    GREAT WORK BY BTW.

  • Comment removed

  • @mixedtrigenito can you help me? when i choose the location of the sdk, it does not give me the option to apply, its still grayed out

  • i want to make app thAT COULD PLAY PS2 GAMES ON YOUR ANDROID PHONE OR TABLETS

  • mine is taking long

  • Another note, wheny you look at your preferences you may not see the Android SDK because you may have moved it. You will need to browse to that folder in order for the API's and other tools to appear.

  • If you are using Windows 7 64bit, Java will install 64bit by default.

In this vid he is installing 32bit Elclipse so you need 32bit Java otherwise Eclipse will not find Java and you will get a path error.

To correct this simply click the downloads link at the top of Java's website. Then in the lower left column click "All Java Downloads" then choose the offline 32bit version. Once installed it will create a 32bit path that Eclipse will see. Good thing im a programmer :)

  • Is it necesary to install all the apis?

I only have a Milestone/Droid to test my apps, it runs froyo.

I mean, in the froyo one are the 1.6 apis included? Or i need the 1.6 apis to develop things in froyo?

I mean, are 1.6 api things still being used in froyo and up or they are not needed?

  • do i have to have java installed for any of this to work??

  • would this be too large to store on a memory stick, of 122 mb?

  • great vid

  • everytime i try to open the Eclipse application after extracting it into the C drive, it says "A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations: C:\eclipse\jre\bin\javaw.exejavaw.exe in your current path"

  • @dancegodess220 What you have to do is search java jdk on google then download it from the oracle website. then when you install it try opening eclipse again and that alert shouldnt come up again.

  • @dancegodess220

    just install java

    java.com

  • @dancegodess220 You may need to download JDK or JRE. Just search it on Google or YouTube and you find the link you need.

  • @dancegodess220 make sure you have jdk and java installed and set up your path correctly

  • why is this a video response to a music video that has nothing to do with this?

  • Lmao 6:30 ... Brain fart.

  • I had a problem because Java was not installed. After installing Java i still couldn't get it to run but I saw where it was looking for the JRE file so I copy and paste it from the java folder then uploaded. I hope that is all I needed to do but so far through this video it is working. Just a heads up for the beginners you said you were focusing on.

  • i was wondering how to run it on phone when your building instead with the emulator. the google app inventor had it where it showed on phone as you built it when it was connected to your computer and you mentioned it in video you can do it with this. plus i got a huawei from metro pcs. doesnt seem that great or a fast phone but i can be wrong, would u recommend using the 2.2 8api setting you used with your driod x or should i go lower?

  • Awesome video I'm going to follow all your vids

  • Don't work eclipse can't find it

  • hey everythin that u explain is gud but u need to learn one thing. when ur making tutorials know that even a lay man should be able to pick up with ur lessons. one of the most important thing in android is that the package name should start with com. u have to tell that. there are many things like this that u miss out which makes ur teaching little down.

  • Is it possible to get like a zipped file of you android tutorials?? This would really be helpful if possible as am tired of downloading bit by bit..Thnks

  • I only know web development languages
