it was originally on Eddie Gale's 1969 album Black Rhythm Happening , on blue note.

The album ('Black Rhythm Happening', as MusicForYourFunk pointed out) is available as a CD-reissue by Water Music (not Blue Note). The same goes for Gale's debut as a leader, 'Ghetto Music'. Both are highly recommended.
