My friend has had this phone since probably february. A software upgrade was released for it and at first everything was awesome, the upgrade had badass new features. But then his phone started an infinite loop of restarting itself, he had to take out the battery to turn it back on. Then, after awhile it started to make weird sounds and crash, and it wouldnt turn back on until it was plugged into the charger. And finally, on top of all that, it now says there is no SIM card in it when there is.

Hi ,, first i like your voice kind of sweet ,, second once and for all this phone has no comparison against the galaxy S plus my friend has X10 and it's realy terrible

i was playing with it and it's lag alot and the screen sometimes doesn't respond and that the worse.

If the person below is right about this phone costing 1,000 bucks with it running 1.6 with just a few tweaks to software? its not even worth it. they probly would only sell about 10 in one month. now i can go out and buy a HTC HD2 or EVO with better specs with newer software and less bulk for simple $199 on contract or just pay str8 out $449. or if i want 1.6 with just some tweaks ill get a moto cliq

I want to know the calendar built in functions and the sync possibilities. I can't find info at all. Since it is based on android, will it reuire an online gmail accoiunt or can it be offline and saved in the phone. Eventually synced with Outlook or Thunderbird Lightning ?

i wonder if you can scroll or "PICK" a letter to get to fast like on the iphone there is a part on the right hand side to scroll to each letter of the alphabet. WHAT IF I HAVE 200 CONTACTS i have to scroll through every single on to get the one i want???????????

Awesome phone...Not worth a $1,000 though...This is beginning price range of a high-end industry standard mac or top of the line pc...Get real Sony as well as the rest of the cellphone companies...All smartphones/superphones should be in $100-$250 price range without a contract--Just goes to show how monopolized the cellphone industry really is.

@ReaLystik731 cell phones are not $100-$250 with no contracts there in the $300 and above. plus AT&T might be getting this one along with a couple other Android phones. for everyone else it comes with a 1.6 but will have a 2.0 update around when it comes out.

andriod is the operating system that the phone uses and 2.1 is just a newer version than 1.6

love the UI, tons of eye candy and really slick especially the media scape. i plan on buying a N1 unlocked on ATT soon hopefully the community can make a ROM with this UI once sony releases the 2.X.X version of it after its release

We try to show the loading times in final versions of the products if time permits. With the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, we know that this isn't the final version and there will be many more software updates from the current state of software/speeds/etc..

cept its still running 1.6 that will be "upgraded to 2.X.X eventually" but we have all heard that before and plus with its custom skin it make take updates longer to be applied which is like one of the knocks against sense, i would stick with the nexus which i know is gonna get the update ASAP straight from google because google determines when the N1 gets the update not the carrier, unlike every other andoird phone out there
