LMAO at some of the comments here. If you think a stock 6000+ lb escalade can beat a solstice or a Sky you're an idiot. The non-turbos are pretty slow, but I'd still bet on it before the escalade. If its a turbo, it would be the biggest joke of a race ever...
The cadillac escalade is awd and has a massive 403hp 417 ft·lbf v8 with loads of low end torque through a 6 speed auto. It is a known fact te escalade does 0-60 in under 7 secs (6.8 i think).The pontiac solstice has 173 tourqueless horses and is know to do 0-60 in 7 secs flat. So it is highly plausible to say that the escalade is infact faster than a solstice/sky. Now the gxp model would definatly dust an escalade.But it is obvious that in this video the escalade had to break

Im not sure why anyone would waste their time comparing it to the non-turbo version of the solstice or sky or the "slow" version of any sportscar. Thats pretty much an oxymoron. The turbo version is underrated at 260 hp and 260 lb/ft of torque. With only a tune and exhaust mine put down 330 lb/ft of torque TO THE WHEELS, which is close to 400 at the crank. Torqueless? Hardly
Well i mean torqueless when n/a and compared to a 400+ ft-lbs escalade. Yeah i know the gxp models are pretty quick i think like 5.1-5.5 0-60 depending on source. I have a twin turbo 300zx with 400rwhp (using stock turbos and engine internals) So i know that many boosted cars with a tune and exhaust can really get some power with little to no money spent. Thats why I sold my 350z and got a 300zx TT. Much cheaper for me to get 400rwhp with a vg30dett than from a vq35de.
@jabba12000 Nice! I love the Z's. Its getting hard to find a 300zx TT in decent shape anymore. My best friend just picked up a '11 370z and its absolutely amazing! Im actually building a new turbo setup on my sky redline right now using one of the new Borg Warner EFR turbos. Full boost by 2600rpms and capable of 550whp (so far). It ran a best of 12.9 with just the tune on the stock turbo, can't wait to see what it will be capable of with the new setup.
Yeah i know what you mean. The Z i got has a nice body and all. Came with a lot of extras like rims, stage 4 clutch,10 lb flywheel, etc. But i've only just gotten it and i've spend $600 replacing hoses. Its worth it tho. I love that car. Once i get my exhaust delt with and a new radiator i will post a video of it.
@jabba12000 Nice sounds like you found a good one. Would love to see some vids of it when you get them up. I still have a 95' 240sx from my nissan days. Its had a SR20, and RB26 in it in the past. Now it has a 450 whp LS1 in it, but I havent had time to put it back together. Too many toys and not enough time lol. I will probably sell the rolling chassis and save the motor for another project. Im trying to talk my friend into a twin turbo setup on his 370z. That would be crazy!
well it would a be a good 300zx bc it just had 100k miles and all the aftermarket parts are name brand. However the car is leaking coolant like crazy. The oil isn't milky so its not a head gasket. I think its just a hose somewhere. Also it idles terrible at first. Other than that its a beast. A tt 370z would be bad ass. Sts has a good cheap turbo system that would probably give that Z atleast 400 at the wheels for cheap.
Never met an escalade that I could not immeditly make a spec in my rearview Mirror ! (slightly Modified Solstice). I'm pullin 390 at the crank and 327 at the wheels and thats without the proper tune, You are a dink to think this little rocket is a pushover.
