He took off in third because he didn't want to destroy the clutch playing around with it in 1st and 2nd gear. The Gemballa tune also includes an exhaust upgrade, and major interior differences, such as carbon fiber and i THINK Alcantara. Yes, that's still not much for 220k.

Anybody with that expensive of a car has an Audi R8 or BMW M3 as a back up for when the clutch (or somethin else) goes out. They also have enough money to replace the clutch without even flinching. If they choose not to wait that long for their supercar back, they could easily sell the thing and replace it with a used Saleen S7 or something. So the point is, if you have money, might as well own the best!

you can tell by his hands he's not a terribly confident driver in that. You take off with out any throttle in that car, till you're very used to driving one. I don't believe they are using a different clutch from the factory one, highly doubt they have the R&D money to improve on the factory unit. And if I'm honest Carrera GTs with exhaust suck. sure they're loud but you loose out on the symphony of the gear box, intake, road noise, wind noise. most of the gts we see with exhaust are sh*t boxes
