  • What does the sport interior consist of, shift knob and e brake handle?

  • @Ge0vone That is correct

  • im selling my s2000 to get a evo x, what are the pros and cons about the gsr and mr, which one would you recommend??

  • @eddiealiano The list is too long to go into all the pros and cons of either the GSR or the MR. But Ill keep it as short as I can. If you plan to do lots of mods, get the GSR. Its single regular clutch will hold the power better. For simple mods and spirited daily driving the MR all day long. I love my SE and wouldnt go any other way.

  • Wait, so is there NO AUX jack in the car??

  • @SeBBaSs841 No, there is a AUX port. It is in the cubby (under the nav unit in my case) under the radio.

  • @fst91dsm....great video man...i am buying a 2008 GSR with Navigation next week.....in this video @ 1:25 you are saying that socket is not an aux port then what is it ?? how can i connect my iphone to the navigation to listen to music ?..please help

  • @hellprince13 I still havnt figured out what that port is used for, There is an AUX port in the cubby under the climate controls (it has a flip down cover with AUX on it). You will buy a 2 to 1 aux cable to hook up to the phone for any kind of music playing options. Hope that helps.

  • @fst91dsm yeah i saw those RCA...so its going to be from the RCA to the 3mm male plug...thanks man...and post more videos...i will soon...picked her up today and it was pure sex...driving her around....love it

  • Hey bud i got a question, how fast is ur MR from 1-100km/h and do you know if the GSR is faster or slower than the MR from 1-100?? cheers

  • @MrJono261 The 0-100kmh or 0-62mph I can only guess or go by reviews by motortrend or inside line by edmunds. They say the GSR is faster by .1 second (GSR 4.9- MR 5.0) But I would think the MR is slightly faster due to the quicker shifting and the consistant launching you can get from the MR/SE.

  • my questions are:

    1) is it easy to drive? cause ive watch couple reviews on youtube and some ppl said they would have it but wouldnt drive it every day

    2) when it comes to maintenance does the sst gear box pose a problems like finding parts or fluid to add (im tryin to decide between the MR or GSR so im thinking which would be better in terms or maintenance )

  • @JuniorMason I think the car is very easy to drive, to me it feels like a normal car under normal driving conditions. The ride is bumpy, however you should know that going in. Its a little louder then the average car but again, you kinda have to know that going in. Im very pleased with everything the car can do when it comes to driving everyday. Ive been averaging about 24mpg and thats a little better then the EPA estimates. Im running out of characters so Ill continue on my next post.

  • @JuniorMason For the maintenance there shouldnt be any issues. If your trying to make a big power EVO get the GSR unless you want to rebuild the trans with upgraded clutches. But for mild upgrades it would be fine. Fluids are due at 30K in the trans (Dealer only fluid) and thats really it for maintenance on that. The repair for the trans from a dealer stand point it replacment of the unit. Diff fluid is due at 15K on both models. Either way is a good choice for the car. But I love my SST trans.

  • @fst91dsm thanx think i wud get the MR...............but where im from an evo cost over 100k :( but on the bright side tho we dont really have any speed restriction(in other words drive as fast as u want anywhere thats unless ur unlucky and u pass a police lol but we no speed cams or nothing here) and we hardly have any straight roads(lots of fun corners)

  • Hey great video love.

My question is that i would like to know if the tranny is like the smg where it sits at a stop like a manual where you dont have to hold break down or does it still leak forward like every other automatic? I had a GTI with dsg and the car leaked forward like a every other auto. Wish everyone used the smg technology

And wish they made the manual a 6 speed, which makes sense for a sports car thats also driven every day

  • @rjknin You do need to hold the brake at stop lights, just like a regular auto trans. Its not a hinderance at all at lights or stop signs. But for some people I can see how that would become an issue. A standard 6 spd in the car would be nice, but for my situation where my wife dosnt like to drive a standard trans car it works for us. Thanks for posting and the question.

  • hey great video. i liked how you went pretty detailed into everything. i have two questions to ask you.

    1) how does the evo handle in snowy conditions?

    2) when you're shifting in manual mode do you have to release the gas and shift or do you keep on the gas and shift?

Evo X is a spectacular car and im contemplating the idea of getting an mr. thanks

  • @GtzNotorious As for the snow, I cant really comment on that. I got the car in early January and it didnt really snow where I live too much after that. From what it did snow, it did well for itself. I would recommend either a set of snow wheels or going to less of a summer tire after the factory ones wear out. Im guessing about 12,000-15,000 miles on the factory set with regular rotations. In the manual mode you can stay full throttle when shifting and no harm is done. Hope this helps!

  • @EvolutionXPfeiffer The gas miileage in my isnt too bad. I do average about 23mpg on the highway and where I live it is 90% highway driving. So no the economy isnt a factor for me at all. Besides I went from driving a 14mpg Titan to this so im very happy. My only complaint is the fuel tank is very small. On average I put in 11.5 gallons every time I fill up. Thats getting me about 240 miles per tank on the highway, So not too bad but if that were bigger that would be nice.

  • is it safe to switch it from auto to manual shift while moving?

  • @covermewithaleaf33 Yes, it is 100% safe to do that. There isnt anything that changes inside the trans or shift linkage area when doing that. The only thing that changes are the signals from the TCM (transmission control module) to the transmission letting it know you chose manual mode as well as the line pressure for the transmission when changing modes from normal to sport to super sport.

  • Thanks. The power of the car is slightly lacking on the highway 70+ mph but for everyday driving on the street there is enough. I do plan on upgrades in the future, mainly a cobb acessport and aem intake. That seems like a good mod and tune combo. The sound system is ok, not the greatest. The SE dosn't have the option of the rockford fosgate system. I have heard that system and it is very good sound quality but the stock unit is good enough for me. Never really been a sound system guy.

  • great video, found it to be very informative especially in real-world conditions. Do u find that it had enough power for ur liking, or do u plan to upgrade the turbo/ecu etc in the future? also how is the stock soundsystem in the car, do u have the rockford fosgate package?
