  • I'm not for government control but I'm more concerned right now about Harper's rampant militarism/police state, which is another form of governement control

  • @kaizokudude Hmm. I just don't see where the Conservatives are building some police state...some examples of that would be? Additionally - the NDP most certainly are 'police state' material - just go read my protest website and see what happened to me in NDP land! The NDP crossed the line 114 months ago tomorrow - that's 9.5 years to the day since I lost my rights on June 05, 2002. Of course for now the NDP have been pushed into near a near political oblivion in Saskatchewan...

  • Once again, When the boot is at your throat it does not matter if it is on the right foot or the left. Take your pick: Communism or Fascism. You can seek out the proverbial "happy medium" all you wish, but neither direction will preserve your rights or freedoms. If you truly believe this is all about democracy then you are sorely deluded and I don't have the inclination to waste. U.S.A. isn't any more democratic than Russia. The time has come to get with the times and stop living in the past.

  • DONMUNTEAN, there was a time I thought a person had no right to complain abou tthe government if they did not vote. I recently decided that after over thirty years of voting I'm not going to vote anymore. Evidently, all our politicians are crooks and there isn't a one who actually cares about us individually. A much similar thing happened to me under a conservative goverment as what happened to you under an NDP government, which takes me to my point.

  • Here's my point: When the boot is already at your throat it doesn't matter if it is on the right foot or the left. THINK about it.

  • I wish this were true. It's time we put aside our evil capitalist ways and promoted national equality.

  • ca lague ton truc..dla marde

  • The North Pole has shifted. Evidently, the true north strong and free has moved to Russia. We are now become the false north weak, and enslaved. We live under the rule of a Fascist who declares that he will stand with the global elite whatever the cost. I hope my fellow Canadians understand that includes the blood of their patriot sons shed in foreign lands because Harper is a USA wanna be. He doesn't care about you, your families, or whether you live or die. Wake up, goyim. Welcome to the NWO.

  • @scannerman777 You're wrong - Harper is the best Prime Minister we've had in 50 years!

  • @DONMUNTEAN Keep telling yourself that. When Canada winds up like U.S.A. bowing to ISRAEL and pandering to the global elite at the expense of your tax dollar, perhaps THEN you'll wake up and get out of the Jello tree. Oh wait, CANADA is already doing that! YUP, that strong Canadian Loonie sure is benefitting the average Canadian these days, huh? I mean, look at all the prime lending rates offered all over the country...NOT!! Somebody hand Stevie his yarmulke. He needs to come out of the closet.

  • @scannerman777

Well it's actually clear to anyone paying attention the U.S. has hardly pandered to Israel - it's the autocratic and dictatorial states around Israel that have been placated time and again! I also see no problem for our government to offer support to a freedom loving democracy - which Israel is...on that point...in that region Israel certainly is an Island unto itself! As for the point of the video you commented on...love how the rights denying NDP in Sask have been defeated!

  • @scannerman777 Also did you visit my protest website to see what happened to me at the hands of an NDP government? search Google "sask spy implant" and it's the first search result. Note the authoritative letter from a doctor confirming my abuse...

  • @DONMUNTEAN Here here.

  • Foolish people... Canada is ALREADY a communist nation and has been since Pierre did his job on the nation and brought it into perpetual debt. FACT: We live in a wealthy communist nation that feigns democracy at the behest of the bourgeoisie. Wake up and realize VOTES are purchased by the ruling class elite. There is a point at which fascism and totalitarianism merge... You're looking at it, O, Canada.

  • @scannerman777 I HATE YOU. I HATE YOU HATE YOU! Canada is a beautiful country. the greatest country in the world, thanks to Pierre Trudeau.

  • "Socialism IS Communism" HA HA HA! McCarthyist propaganda. Learn some history, in Russia the democratic socialist provisional government established to replace the Tsars and held the first ever democratic elections in Russia. This democratic socialist government was OVERTHROWN by Vladimir Lenin and his totalitarian communists. Not all socialists get along and they aren't all anti-democratic tyrants.

  • lol NDP communists? NDP is nowhere near communism, you need to learn some political science before you make accusations. This is another fear mongering tool used by conservatives in their propaganda. As if Harper is the almighty we should all follow for a brighter and safer canada as if we're his sheep. just cuz NDP are for some social programs and not the fuckin military we should be scared? What is there to be scared of terrorists? There wouldn't be none if harper stopped suckin US dick

  • Hm, this video has no argument.

What a waste of internet space.

  • Social-Democracy FOREVER!

NDP are not communist and Conservatives are not fascist. Dear Don...get off your high horse.

  • The NDP is a very serious threat to Canada.

I am a small business owner who employs 20 people. Our NDP MP (Bruce Hyer) told me that I should leave Canada cecause tghe Country would be "better off" without people like me.

I work hard, I employ people, I pay lots of taxes, I support my family... the only thing I don't do is supoort is the NDP.

The NDP platform is straight out opf Russian history. Wake up and be afraid...be VER afraid.

  • it's a dark day in the history of quebec, unfortunately, people didn't vote for the quality of their deputy, but for Jack Layton, here in quebec most of our candidates don't deserve to be elected. They don't have enouf experiences, they are not worthy, in 4 years they will be all out except Thomas Mulcair. i can't beleave all those great deputy from the Bloc, liberals even conservatives who have lost agains these morons.

  • YAY CAPITALISM! oh wait...

  • THE NDP WILL DO BETTER THEN HARPER EVER DID!

  • @1988scottcarey

LOL! Yeah and soon we'll be saying "Prime Minister Layton"! The only reason your Chairman Layton is doing so well is because leftists are deserting the Liberals - further splitting the vote on the left - helping to assure a CPC majority! Yes, the Conservatives deserve the majority - five years of Conservative government and - the sky hasn't fallen! Notice how Jack in his campaign commercials says "I" and not "we" shall do this or that? Egoism is already showing! Just see...

  • @1988scottcarey

ROTFLMAO is the only reasoned response to such tripe

You're like 12 years old or what?

  • @1988scottcarey The NDP never do better than the other two parties because they are commies and want the government to own everything and do everything and we all know for countries like Russia and Cuba that this system just does not work. The NDP want to give people everything so they don't have to work, the problem with that is the country goes broke.

Sorry chairman Jack I am not buying your crap and neither are all the inteligent Canadians, that leaves you with the idiots.

  • Stalin wasn't a socialist, he was a Stalinist. Socialism is an internationalist movement, Stalinism is nationalist.tionalist, kinda like the Harper.

  • This video is quite fuckin retarded.

I'm saying this unbiased as I am not on NPD nor on Liberals' sides.

  • @Emessaine

So what then is 'your' problem with this video?

  • @DONMUNTEAN Hum... your misunderstanding of socialism. You should read about it, it's quite interesting. Also, Tommy Douglas is the one who created our health-care system.

And, of course, the usual partisan bash-fest.

  • @DONMUNTEAN Perhaps you should just face facts that it is a piece of shit.

  • I was pretty outraged throughout the whole video until I read the "Support the Conservative Party of Canada" - the anger then turned to laughter and pity for people who will believe what this video says

  • @Victorgoleche75 well buddy i don't c whats wrong with the government at the moment but i know (i'm from saskatchewan) when the provincial party was in charge of sask during the 70's we went to shit because of them, and their thoughts provincially/federally are not very different. Socialism says if ur lazy life will b good for you and if you work your ass off you don't get much in return. That's a bullshit system in my mind

  • Socialism and Communism are not interchangeable ideologies. And naming extreme left-wing dictators isn't any more proof that the NDP is a 'bad' party then claiming Conservatives are simliar to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. Whipping out examples of extremist communists has nothing to do with centre-left wing Canadian party like the NDP.

  • @anjfermor Sorry, NDP is Far left, not even close to centre.

  • you guys are retards socialism is not communism but what do you call extreme right wing thinking that is called nazism, for a successful thriving economy you have to put the wealth of the country in the peoples hand not the hands of the chosen few,

  • the NDP is a social democracy, fuck do your research!

  • @StephaneGroulxTV

I have personal experience that trumps any bogus spin you can spit out on the NDP - they are socialists and socialists are eventual communists. They already advocate more state ownership than is justifiable for a party committed to so-called 'social democracy'.

  • @DONMUNTEAN extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Where is your proof? Appealing to personal experience is a logical fallacy. The NDP is a social-democratic party of the centre-left, they are not socialist, if they were, their policy would be to revolutionize our economic system, not modernize it. The NDP want to keep capitalism, with a few reforms to modernize it.

"they are socialists and socialists are eventual communists" nice slipper-slope logic, your argument has no base.

  • @StephaneGroulxTV So their taking capatalism and making it socialism?

  • @DONMUNTEAN that cuz back in the day NDP used to be communist

  • @DONMUNTEAN "Socialism IS Communism" is McCarthyist propaganda. Learn some history, in Russia the democratic socialist provisional government established that replaced the Tsars held the first ever democratic elections in Russia. This democratic socialist government was OVERTHROWN by Vladimir Lenin and his totalitarian communists.

  • @StephaneGroulxTV NDP is BAD and should be illegal

  • @StephaneGroulxTV

I have almost 9 years of research into the NDP's 'social democracy' - since the day I lost my rights to them on June 05, 2002!

  • @StephaneGroulxTV The NDP is the communist party of Canada. They support big labour unions and not the people. The proof of this was their support for the big labour union of the post office instead of the poor people waiting for their cheques.

You don't have to be dumb to vote NDP but it sure helps.

  • Your videos convince me even more to vote NDP!

  • @kingsammythecat

Sure vote what you want - just dopn't cry the blues when you lose your rights one day.

  • @kingsammythecat

Sure vote what you want - just don't cry the blues when you lose your rights one day.

  • A goverment that will give you everything, will take everything you have.

  • I love the New Democratic Party of Canada, and I wish that America could have such a "labor party" comparable here. Sadly what we have are the Democrats who acts like soft Tories and a demented Christian Right theocratic group of teabaggers called the Republicans.

  • NDP are social democrats not communists!

  • @animegalc4 Thank you for putting some truth here...

  • This is pathetic... NDP is NDP... the Communist party of Canada is Communist, lol you failed BIG TIME with this video...

  • @AdmiralofTheEmpire

Well I just looked at your videos and you have one called:

    International Socialist Anthem

In that video YOU connect well known communists like Mao and Lenin...did I miss something? I think you put your foot into your mouth here. Socialism is communism - or it leads to it as taught by Marx and other well known commie losers.

  • @DONMUNTEAN hmmmm, not quite but you're getting there.

Socialism is both Communism AND Fascism. it can lead to both, it depends on if you support the freedom and empowerment of the people (Communism)

or if you support Nazi's and black-shirts (Fascism)

My International Sociialist Anthem just praises the main Socialist/Communist leaders (excluding Stalin) Also thank you for viewing my profile, i'm glad that you could help me get the message out :D

  • @AdmiralofTheEmpire

I know that you're trying to simplify things to make things easier to understand but I think that you went too far. To say that stalin was truly a socialist is wrong since socialism values everyone equally and Stalin's top-heavy authoritative government only valued the ruling party members. For this reason it is also unwise to compare Fascism with socialism since, while socialism promotes equality, fascism is built on an outright rejection of all forms of equality...

  • @AdmiralofTheEmpire

(cont')... it instead introduces the concept of elitism, that certain people are born above the rest and as such should direct the state and control the less fortunate.

  • @HeistSpaggiari did you even watch my video? It has Marx, Engels, Lenin and Mao in. NO STALIN. The people i was celbrating were a certain type of socialist, i wasn't celebrating Stalin in that particular video.

  • @AdmiralofTheEmpire

    oops, sorry...

I was really tired when I read your last comment. I thought you had said your video celbrated all (including Stalin), but you said EXcluding stalin. I missed the EX part. I grant you that point and I apologize. But my assertion regarding the comparing of fascism to socialism still stands.

  • @HeistSpaggiari i'd have to agree then. but Stalin wasn't really Socialist or Fascist, he was in a league of his own. That's partly why i didn't put him in the video.

Although technically speaking no "Socialist" leader is "Socialist" per se, they all have their different versions like Leninism, Marxism, Stalinism, Maoism etc.

  • @DONMUNTEAN

While you are correct in saying that Marx referred to socialism as a means to communism there is one minor mistake you are making, If I may be so bold. 'Socialism in the context Karl Marx used it is fundamentally different from the word socialism used by Democratic Socialists. Just like 'conservatism' meant something entirely different in Marx's time. 'Liberal' in his day referred to classical liberalism which is free market and anti-government; very different from the word today.

  • @HeistSpaggiari

Well for me it comes down to socialism and communism share the concept of state ownership - it is not a good thing - especially with insurance. Where there is no choice - there is no real freedom...

  • @DONMUNTEAN

ah you see, there is the problem. Only the Leninist branches of communism actually require state ownership. You see, the non-leninist branches (Democratic Socialism) actually support collective ownership of the means of production. You might think that these mean the same thing but actually, in a collective ownership, EVERYONE owns the factories and control is through direct democracy (i.e. referandums)...

  • @DONMUNTEAN

Now, when Lenin drafted his version of socialism (Marxism-Leninism) he decided that the whole direct democracy thing was too cumbersome for a country as vast as russia so he came up with the concept of the 'Vanguard Party' whisch would seize control and rule (supposedly) for the good of all (and you know how that went). So the main difference is this: Democratic socialism - You and I both equally own property and decide through democratic means the way to use that property...

  • @DONMUNTEAN

and Marxis-Leninism (and all the sub-branches, Maoism, Trotskyism, Stalinism) - You and I give up the ownership to someone else (the state) whom we trust to do the right thing and be fair to us all.

wow... it took 3 posts to get that all out.

  • @HeistSpaggiari

i APPRECIATE your sincerity but i don't agree. I also appriciate your sense of respectful posting! You're a decent person.

  • @DONMUNTEAN

“I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.”

-- Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President of the United States and quite possibly the most awesome being to ever wear the skin of a human being.

  • I take it back; judging by your website, you seem like someone who wraps his head in tinfoil to make sure the evil "communists" don't control your thoughts. As for substantive arguments, I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. I mean, I could just as easily call Steve Harper, Brad Wall, etc. 'fascists' because I don't agree with them . . . and by the way, I have better things to do with my life than posting videos to 'my channel' - but thanks for letting me know it exists.

  • @seagreen1969 won't waste my time with an idiot who comes away with "tin foil hat" after reading my protest website [for what - 10 seconds?] so in any case you've had your say now - go away.

  • You are an idiot

  • @seagreen1969 - why did you post this comment twice? You can call me an idiot but offer no substantive arguments?

  • If NDP is the Communists than what is the Canadian Communist Party??

  • because ndp had a diffren name and they use to be a communist party back in the day

  • I see. So which party would be more similar to the horrid communism of places like old Russia, China and North Korea? Because I know these guys try to tell you communism sounds great on paper, but look at history right?

  • @eleventhsun not communist party are bad cuba have good ecamay running chine thay have some flaws but not like ussr stalin wasn.t agood leader but kruchef was a good leader because he was slowly getting ussr buck up to speed with a good ecamay

  • What did lenin do? He kicked out the Tsars and removed the monarchy.

  • ...Tommy Douglas was voted as the "Best Canadian of All Time". Personally, I would dispute his #1 placement, but he definitely deserves a high ranking on that list.

  • Long live to socialism !

  • and finally... listening to your comments on other people. lets try to remember that the reform conservative alliance or whatever was once a western protest party (which btw is not representative of the west coast at all) before their hostile takeover of the good old red-tories of progressive conservatives.

  • and anyone with even a remote understanding of political spectrum, even conservatives and liberals alike would know that the ndp is anything but authoritarian... in the social spectrum between authoritarian and libertarian... they are canada's most libertarian party. try even listening to tommy dogulas's speech and you would know he was against any curbing of civil liberties during the trudeau's just watch me stint.

  • lol are you serious? who are you trying to kid? little kids who never had any basic political science education?

ok, so by stringing ndp leaders' name to a bunch of communist authoritarian names you are trying to show that they are related in anyway? thats like saying all conservatives are like mussolini, hitler and all the right wing guerrilla in latin america... which is patently untrue.

  • This Neo-Macartyite scare tactic did not hurt the NDP in the 40's and it still does not hurt today. If anything, it's kind of funny. So instead of berating your video, I'll thank you for the little chuckle to brighten up my day ;)

  • Spin it how you will...NDP polices are closer to communist thinking than not...

  • sure they are closer than the conservatives or liberals. I still vote for them and I don't regret it.

  • (cont'd) Hitler with scary messages saying "Conservatism IS Fascism, vote NDP" But I'm not an idiot. To make such a video as persuasive as yours, I wouldn't need to acknowledge such facts as the Conservatives rule while 60+% of voters voted against them or that they have appointed more senators in a single year than any other previous government. Do I really think they're dictators or fascists? No, I just disagree with them and I chose to elaborate why through reasoned argument and discussion.

  • What are you talking about? In the last general election of October 2008 the NDP were elected to 37 seats - the Liberals were elected to 77 seats and the Bloc were elected to 49 seats and what were the Conservatives elected to? 143 seats! Your comment "60+% of voters voted against them" is simply untrue. The Conservatives have nearly twice as many seats as the NDP and nearly three times that of the Liberals. The opposition parties are too far behind to govern without a coalition!

  • I was referring to the percentage of individual votes, The Conservatives got about 40%. You have a point that the opposition is not able to build a good coalition, but the Harper government seems to think that they have a precedent to rule Canada with an "Iron Fist" and anyone who disagrees is in the 60% minority.

  • if the Conservatives got only 40% what % did the NDP get? What % did the Liberals get? How can you say that Harper is ruling with an Iron fist? Some tangible examples?

  • You don't have any tangible examples as to why the NDP are Communists, but I'm a better persuasive writer than you, so here we go: The Harper government was voted down (in the house) not two-years after it took office for it's refusal to work with other parties. The only reason they are still in power is because both the Federal NDP and Liberals can't find credible candidate for PM. Cutting funding for the Arts and using tax-dollars to send their own party's propaganda is also not cool

  • Voted down? Not by voters but by envious unqualified opposition leaders - yes them same guys that tried to form their undemocratic coalition - this minority government has lasted longer than the Martin minority government...you note CPC is not working with other parties - that's a joke - it's these other parties with even less voter confidence that has failed to try to make parliament function with three back to back minorities - remember the CPC got 143 seats the Liberals 77 and the NDP got 37

  • why do you say that the coalition would have been undemocratic, it's in the constitution that in the even of a non-confidence motion, the governor general can appoint a new prime-minister that does have the confidence of the house. What's undemocratic about something that has been in Canadian law since the formation of the Dominion of Canada?

  • The coalition concept isn't undemocratic it was machinations of the opposition to form one unnecessarily that were undemocratic...the voters gave the seats in a manner that we can see what they want - the CPC garnered far more seats [and thus voter confidence] than the NDP or the Liberals. The opposition wants to call the shots in parliament but then cry fowl when they don't get their way. If you're waiting for NDP to even form official opposition - you'll certainly wait! More Liberal gov? NO!

  • ok, so 77+37+Bloc=more than the Cons. If they do not have confidence in Stephen Harper, but can agree upon another PM that they have confidence, they can form a coalition and represent the 60% of voters who voted against the Conservatives. What's undemocratic about that?

  • It takes ALL THREE opps to make enough for a coalition - that these three parties take no regad to the fact that Canadian voters only gave them 77 & 37 & 49 seats and the CPC 143 - that is not a majority but it is if you compare it to the other three individually. If Canadians wanted a coalition the seat count would be more evenly split - get over it Aiden all this anti-Harper anti-right wing is fear mongering - he is the most deserved of them leaders he's earned his way there...

  • I've already conceded that (unfortunately) the opposition cannot find a viable coalition leader, if they could they would have a democratic government that would represent the 60% of voters who didn't vote conservative. Stephen Harper has said many times that there is a mandate for a Conservative rule, but unfortunately, as the leader of a MINORITY government he has an obligation to represent all parliament, not just his own party. If what I'm saying is fear-mongering, what does that make you?

  • It's not how governments are formed - if voters wanted such the numbers would have been more evenly distributed - instead we see that the CPC got nearly double the votes of the Libs and the NDP fell short by 106 seats! What you are proposing isn't democracy . The result is a minority and the numbers indicate majority voter confidence in the CPC. The so-called 60% vote is split between the THREE other parties. If voters wanted a coalition the numbers would have been more evenly distributed.

  • I can only speak for myself, but as someone who voted for one of the other three parties, I would rather have the party I voted for run the government as part of a coalition than have any one of the other parties form a minority government on its own.

Do you really think we NDP/Liberal/Bloc voters would rather have a CPC minority government than a coalition government? Come on...

  • More of this nonsense! It takes ALL THREE opps to to garner enough seats for a coalition - that these three parties take no regard to the fact that Canadian voters only gave them 77 & 37 & 49 seats and the CPC 143 - that is not a majority BUT it is if you compare it to the other three individually. If Canadians wanted a coalition the seat count would be more evenly split. We cannot have a coalition because your party of choice has even less voter confidence than the CPC. That's not democracy

  • Of course I do NOT want to discuss this pointless point any further...

  • You cannot add the Bloc as they are a regional party and cannot govern nationally - being separatist it would be scandalous - they are not a nationalist federal party. So you got your Libs and your NDP = 114 seats? Not nearly enough seats for your undemocratic coalition.

  • the bloc are MP's voted by Canadians (whether they want to be Canadians or not). There's no law saying that they cannot support a coalition OR govern Nationally should they have the confidence of the house. How democratic is it to bar the rural Quebec vote from wielding political power?

  • It is not undemocratic to say that a REGIONAL separatist party cannot have NATIONAL political power. You just don't get it...

We're done with this discussion as I will not reply further...

  • Agree to disagree. Out of curiosity, what do you think of Barrack Obama?

  • This video lacks any rational reasoning. That Lenin intentionally brought Stalin to power is highly debatable. As far as I know, there is no connection between Mao Tse-Tung and Tommy Douglas (indeed, Tommy Douglas would likely be a wanted man in any Communist state because he was a priest), and this video brings to mind one connection, you showed their pictures one after the other. I have about as much reason to Show pictures of Ralph Klei and Stephen Harper next to pictures of Mussolini and Hit

  • The point of the video is simple - there was someone selling 'communism lite' [otherwise known as socialism] to Saskatchewan - at the same time that them blatant communists were in the world's political sphere. I call the NDP communist because their policies are in favor of state ownership of things like banking insurance and communications - I could care less if you cannot see the NDP for what it is.

  • I know that The NDP is in favour of public/state ownership. I think for things such as Auto-insurance and Telecommunications, it is good to have a public option. And I also think esssential services (ie. health care) should be provided by the state. Call me a Communist if you want, you can definitely find similarities, but the NDP have been a legitimate power in Saskatchewan for 60 years and guess what, other than an imaginary tracking chip in your tooth, we still have our democratic rights.

  • Well in Saskatchewan the public insurance is the ONLY option - hardly democratic that is! The "chip" isn't in my "tooth" - nowhere have I said that - just goes to show that you cannot get your facts in order before commenting...

  • Your website is called DENTAL-SPY-IMPLANT. I'm sorry if I got the details mixed up on your conspiracy theory. It's easy to attack fact checking from a guy who uses rhetoric with no room for facts. period. Don't even take the time to make some up. Lazy!

  • Your visit to the site was 10 seconds - what do you know from that 10 seconds.

  • the first ten seconds, I learned that you were crazy. The next ten seconds, I came to the conclusion that I would not find a well-written argument based upon factual information and sound logic with critical thinking. I abandoned the site to pursue worthwhile things. If you are going to claim that the NDP is Communist or any other crazy thing, you bear the burden of proof; go hard and contact me with a sound deductive argument and I'll reply at my earliest convenience.

  • I see that you didn't read the site!

You're using an ad hominem argument - saying that I'm crazy instead of a - "well-written argument" - relating to the information on the implanting.

The site relates the event step by step - it's not a bunch of anti-NDP crap as you claim.

Read my site - present some sound reasons why my assertions and evidence are "crazy" - keep in mind the police failed to assist the dentist in the last 4 years in getting it shut down. No defamation charges! Why not?

  • PS. Move to Alberta before you infect the lot of us with your counter-revolutionary piffle! LOL

  • Actualy, Lennin, shortly before his death, told his party to remove Stalin as General Secrectary because he didn't trust Stalin. Nice propaganda though. I like were you left out that Tommy Douglas was voted "greatest Canadian" and that he was the father of Canadian Healthcare, and if you truly think socialism is communism, plain and simple you are a fool. Try reading something, don't worry we will wait until your business with Stephen Harper is done, and you can get off your knees.

  • Q: we will wait until your business with Stephen Harper is done

    R:

    Meaning what exactly?

  • What business is usualy completed with one person on their knees. That was the joke that you missed.

  • Why do you say that I'm doing that? ...and whose arsehole are YOU sidling up to? Layton? Ignatief?

  • Im not sliding up anyones arsehole, I just despise when people with obviously political prejudices blatantly lie to prove a point knowing most people will not know the difference. If you feel socialism is wrong, prove it with fact, not lies. Harper is a master of lies ie press gallery incident, income trusts, Iraq (which he admitted in the last leaders debate). For Christ sake even Joe Clark is mocking Harper and if right wingers don't sop lying the right wing movement in Canada will end

  • Oh Kevin i cannot be bothered to waste time with your circular discussions - go vote for your left wing nonsense - watch your leftist governments slowly erode your economic and other freedoms - evade it all and think that I'm the one who is mistaken - but it's you who are mistaken. The state doesn't need to monopolize things like insurance - if you fail to see why and that's your shortsightedness...

  • I'm short sighted and mistaken? This is not left versus right, I was merely pointing out factual inaccuracies within the video, and if you were actualy right wing it would seem to me that you would want to represent them properly...without lies. To each his one I suppose, but one can not deny that if the Conservitives continue being decietful people will shy away from rightist views. I have no problem with right winger, just liers, witch is the Harper Caucus. Joe Clark was blunt but honest.

  • I believe it would have been easier in the 1940's to nationalize the Saskatchewan economy as it was almost non-existant over half the population was on what they called at the time "relief" and those who found work made little. The Liberal leadership which followed orders from Ottawa had huge resources in which to put a good fight but still lost in '44 then what happened how did a bunch of inexperienced people not only defeat the Liberals but embarrass them by winning all but 5 seats?

  • Well, well well...If this isn't a classic case of the right wing scaring the populous into believing that this left of center political party is out to grab everything it can get from the hands of the rank and file. What he talks of is extreme application of communism, Not the Ideals of democratic socialism which the NDP is. they are two different animals The Right wing would have Private ownership of assets while the rank and file caters to their every whim using monetary means of oppression.

  • Communism is power by the people for the people as Marx said. Stalin make the power for a little class or military people against the people.

Capitalism is supose to be an equal chance for the hardest worker to access the status os wealthy, but as we can see most of people that work 80hours a week in the third world wont have any chance to accesss the same standard of occident life, cause its a dictature of the capital.

Why is it odd? Speak english? I hate to break your delusions but there IS a link between Marx and Stalin. The latter made the formers poison ideas even more so a dangerous poison.

  • Poison??

  • lol, ya, nothing more unlike a commie rat than championing Canada's social healthcare system and workers rights.

Seriously, read a book or something.

  • look deeper and see the leftists building an oligarchy within their government controlled socialist infrastructure...

A common misconception is that were it not for the likes of Douglas we would have no public health care - the NDP didn't create the concept nor did they initiate health care for people regardless of economic status - you're the one who should read some real history - not just the party hand book! Start @ wikipedia with this search: medicare canada history

  • Look deeper? I thought that was the point of spreading your propaganda, but I saw nothing deeper in your video but one sentence at a time saying... "so and so is bad, so and so is a communist".

We call that an error in deductive reasoning, meaning your argument isnt very convincing, and in fact makes you seem downright ignorant.

And wikipedia can be written and edited by anyone, its not a scholarly source.

  • also... The conservative government has passed multiple aaccountability bills, they wouldve passed more except the Liberal and the NDP have refuted them..

  • Fact: Stalinist Russia killed over 10 million of its own people.. you cannot even relate that to the fact of the wars we've fought...

Afghanistan is being fought for their people.. Iraq is maybe a different story

Fact: Mao also killed millions of his own people and for what? because they spoke against the governing Body? yes thats exactly it do you see that in Canada? NO

The conservatives disregard the media because they are so biased against them..

  • The Media is biased against the conservatives? I guess that's why we saw that the NDP got all the attention from the media in the last election. and the evil "liberal media" gave the liberal party a free pass during the sponsorship scandal.

  • Its sad the differences between communism and socialism not not better understood. Socialism, as it exists in Canada has done more postitive than negative.

On another note, i must say that relating monsters like Stalin to Tommy Douglas and the NDP is DIGUSTING. I can easily find just as many parallels between Fascism and the conservatives as you did between communist and the NDP; which is not much at all. Be more objective.

  • "I can easily find just as many parallels between Fascism and the conservatives"

Oh really? Go for it! I'd love to see what you come up with...

  • Harper = chaney. If you delete this, you are not in favour of free speech.

  • Against free speech? No I'm against slander! Harper is nothing like that criminal!

  • they both come out of the same pot of soup.

  • No that is incorrect - Chaney is an entirely deluded opportunist. Harper is not. So why don't you go back to your leftist website discussion forums and discuss this with people who neither know facts nor are inclined to find them. Harper is the most genuine leader we've seen in decades - sure I don't agree with all his policies - but why should I let that impede seeing that as a leader he is the most sincere and the least opportunistic. Your choice of leader would sell out Canada - like you...

  • Steven Harper is embedded in the Alberta oil industry. He doesn't follow any of the environmental laws that have been passed in the alberta supreme court. He also refuses to give Newfoundland the right of field to develop their industry, while American oil companies have to develop oil sands in alberta within 5 years. Something of a double standard.

The idea that harper in not opertunist in laughable. He pushed an election when he thought he had the chance of winning a majority.

  • Our alternative leaders are also involved in their own brand of aggrandizements - we're talking politics. As I said - I don't agree with you - you don't agree with me. What need of further discussion is there? Are you going to change my mind?

  • Do you not see any hypocrisy in saying that harper is not dick chaney because he is a criminal, while at the same time saying that Tommy Douglas equals Stalin? I don't remember him killing members of his own party when he was in power in Saskatchewan.

  • This video doesn't say that Douglas equals Stalin - it simply notes that Douglas was promoting his socialist scheme to Canada - while them other socialists of a slightly different strain were promoting their socialist schemes in their respective spheres...

  • well in other video's you equate douglas and layton with stalin. if you can't see your own dogmatic hypocrisy in your opinions then your right, there is no point in talking to you.

  • Name calling? Who are you voting for?

  • sorry but can you actually give us your point of view on this? mao tse tung, stalin, lenin...they were all part of communist parties. the ndp is a democratic/socialist party. please don't mess socialism with communism

  • Did you even visit my protest website and see why I'm so down on socialists - see what was done to me? It's all a slippery slope...

  • why do you always answer the same thing? say what's your point here!

  • Cannot read? What's the difficulty? All the noted leaders were socialists - the line dividing that from communism is thin. Why should Canadians living in one province have differing legal rights than those who live in a public insurance province?

  • In early September [2006] the NDP gathered for a national 'policy convention' - here is a leaked excerpt from their policy suggestions:

...THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the NDP is committed to actively campaign for and implement social ownership, including but not limited to the following industries: banking, communications, energy, health care, insurance, manufacturing, mass media, medical drugs, natural resources, transportation...

  • i will say it again... don't mess socialism with communism! in my country the prime minister is from the socialist party and their policies have nothing to do with communism. actually the portuguese socialist party and the portuguese communist party dont get along... do not confuse things. You should be thankfull for having socialist canadians like tommy douglas! shame on you

  • ...and I will say it again - socialism is a slippery slope and over time the socialists try to control too many aspects of the economy and our rights - communists think that the state ought to own everything - so do socialists. At the end of the day I have direct experience of my rights trounced by a socialist agency and the socialist leaders responsible could care less. I also think that one can have social programs without the overreaching governance of socialism. Douglas created SGI...

  • oh wow. I think I'm retarded now that I managed to watch the whole clip. The...conservative party? More to the rich, less to the poor, environment doesn't matter and global warming is a socialist conspiracy? Come on...I'm not THAT dumb yet. Sorry dude.

  • Without Tommy Douglas we all would be fighting with the insurance companies like US residents do. Watch Michael Moore's Sicko.

  • What the fuck? How could you ever put Tommy Douglas ad Josef Stalin in the same video? I think you need to do some reading if you get Stalinism confused with Democratic Socialism. Tommy Douglas was the greatest canadian ever. He's the reason you don't have a $5000 bill when you leave the hospital. What do you conservatives have against equality?

  • ...you get "Democratic Socialism" confused with a watered down communism...

  • Well "watered down communism" seems to have made life better for most Canadians.

  • No it hasn't...not in the long run.

  • I disagree.

  • I suspect you would Let's not mistake the fact that the NDP have been quietly building a socialist infrastructure geared at taking away choices and placing inordinate discretionary powers in the hands of bureaucrats. Don't mistake the values of looking after the sick and the poor as socialist values - they're not - they're values that we garner from ancient Israel and it's philosophy. Socialist nations have never improved living conditions for it's peoples - they're theoretical utopias

  • Haha you don't know what any of these words mean. You just toss them around expecting everyone to be as ignorant as you. Do you know what a soviet is or what direct democracy is? Do you know what participatory economics are? Or can you even tell me the difference between Marxism and Leninism? What a moron.

  • Well I sure as hell know what human rights are and how socialists and communists marginalize such rights - whether here in CanaDUH or in Russia or in China. My human rights were violated [and still are right now] - did you visit my protest website? The URL is on my channel...

  • Ohh Boo hoo I bet the evil oppressive Canadian state is doing terrible things to you especially being that Canada is still capitalist and all. You do realize that the state is only acting as liaison to the working class and most of it's policies are in place to keep things rolling and to keep you Canadians apathetic. You will know a workers state when you see one. hahaha
