wow. I've never heard her sing like this, its truly impressing..some of those phrases were perfect...great breathe control too...the staging looks a bit ridiculous and is detracting from her performance a little but she's a great actress so all is not lost...I agree that the ending is a bit bare but props to her for being brave enough to sing those cadenzas acapella
No flute or glass harmonica obligato to end? ... that takes away the spectral image for me, the flute or harmonica gives representation to 'voices' in her head and thus depicting her madness ... NICE to finally see the high Eflat taken here, I much prefer it here where it gives emphasis to her troubled state o being.
Can you please, to give me the motivation of your remark? Because, I don't not understand why you use these terms "Buffona! & Clown!?"; Particularly for this opera who are not humorous. Regards
What it interesting on the audio version recorded by Natalie Dessay in 2002, it's a French version "Lucie de Lammermoor". There are not a lot of singers who have sung it in French.

I think it's the first recording here on youtube where she goes for the high at the end of Ardon gli incensi. She's in great form here. Brava!
