  • by any chance is that an image of trent reznor at 0:00? this is an awesome song, such an underrated band especially considering the time in which they recorded this

  • WAT YEAR DID THIS SONG COME OUT?...

  • This is a better version to FF. I'm no pro in industrial or post-punk, but this one feels more pure.

  • Yeah, cos Jez Coleman can actually sing unlike Burton C Bell. I loves Fear Factory, but Burton sounds like a drain, especially live :(

  • Fear Factory only cover cos they have no tunes, Killing Joke piss all over your Fear Factory covers band.

  • fear factory* ;P

  • Fear Farcoty - Milenium is better version with this ;]

  • While Fear Factory played a small part in me listen to KJ, I love this one so much more.

  • i agree

  • to continue - lots of very fun people - gorgeous crew of big rave party people from Brighton who seemed to do a lot of this fun stuff. we all got pretty trashed!KJ weren't there on day I was involved (docks in south london), but my best memory of them is at an obscure free festival on the Cornish border circa 1983 and killing joke killing joke remains one of my fav albums

  • I've got a 2 sec slot dressed as cop running in front of truck. I got asked to do this video through contacts because I had a motorbike - but turned out they didn't want a girl on a bike, which pissed me off somewhat (not KJ saying this but video director, he also did stuff for Suede)- they then wanted me to let some guy ride my bike (we're talking beautiful vintage triumph) so the reply was a straight no - noone touches my baby (still got her). anyway, it was a mega fun day,

  • demented, did you let him ride your missus?

cos he told me he did.

  • I was the director of this crazy video. I totally apologize for not letting you ride...I was very arrogant and pigheaded in those days. Having said that, this is prob the vid I am proudest of, and the piece of shite I did for Suede the one I am least.

  • dear bullethole jonny, oh thank you for such an honest and upfront comment, you star!! I honestly would have been better riding than trying to run in slow motion (its very difficult!!!). It is a great video, hope your still in the business and producing visual treats. ;)

  • Love the song. Thanks for posting it. The video is kinda of creepy. If all those people (except the little girl) where in a club... I wouldn't go in.

  • Thanks ...signed... one of those people X;)

YEAH! YEAH! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Just listen to them chugging guitars.

Love this song and I love Jaz's vocals on this track ... captures the impending trepidation concerning the future 2001 millennial changes that were possibly in store for the world when this album (Pandemonium) was released in 1994.

Nice to see this vid up here on YouTube.

    Peace out,

    unitblackflight242

  • I directed this video! Barely remember the shooting cuz I was off my head....good times. great band...thanks for uploading it

    bulletholejonny ...

Ya did a nice job on this vid mate. Great visuals. Great shots of different individuals enjoying themselves while under the "spell" of Killing Joke. And you've just got to love the Maori guys doing the traditional haka. Plus, plus, plus ... the whole Mad Max semi tractor trailer thing going on as well. Love the stroboscopic effects on Jaz's face ... makes his eyes seem to pop out at the viewer.

    Nice job once again.

    Peace out,

    unitblackflight242

  • Who's idea was to use the haka?

    great job! great video!

  • thanks...KJ's music deserves most of the credit and 2 amazing Maori guys who did the haka

  • Weellll... must admit, hats off to ya.. my first vision of you was you turning up at the top of the bus , foaming at the mouth at 9 am!! we did wonder!! (Heavenly.. one of hte Brighton possee X;)

  • I'm one of the two guys doing the haka, the other chap is gerard tahu. all i remember is having carrot bongs on the bus with youth and listening to his dub remixes of jimi hendrix.. it was all a bit hazy..

  • Great story man. Thanks for sharing. Did you get any royalties? :)

  • nashakasukai ...

I always thought that the use of the traditional Maori haka in this video induced a feeling of ususpected primodial fear to the viewer.

Plus, the almost robotic / kabuki movements you guys performed really were (to me at least) the visual linchpin of the video. :-)

By the way, at the 2:56 count in this video, which one is you (on the right or the left)?

    Thanks for your imput.

    unitblackflight242

  • Which one are you?

  • ha ha, thats about all I remember too! That and an amazing banoffee pie served on the bus! Its got to be one of the funniest days ever spent, KJ being one of the nicest bands to work for! Top chillums Youth has to be said! (Heavenly.. blond dreadhead in vid) great to see the vid again thanks!

  • if you like FF dont see thid vid.KILLING JOKE is the father of thems.

  • Heard this song once, thought it was kick-ass - months later I'm in Russia in front of a bootleg tapes stand (it was '92 I guess) and can't remember the name of the band... I knew it was a 2 word name and I thought I've found it. Went home and played the tape... Davidian starts. WOW! This is how I've discovered Machine Head, haha! Years later I rememberd these guys and tried listening to some of their albums. Didn't quite enjoy them but KJ will be forever in my heart as MH are my fav band.

  • what?...Killing Joke were around long before Fear Factory, and listening to Fear Factory's version at the moment, it sucks cock compared to Killing Joke's Version.

And Killing Joke aren't even metal haha, yet there more metal than Fear Factory, on this track at least.

Linchpin owns though, so, i think both bands should stick to their own style :)

  • Whoo-hoo! I'm 25, 700!

  • lol fear factory did a far better job than killing joke...

  • Fear Factory would have never done it if it wasn't for Killing Joke.

  • THANK YOU!

  • Stopo joking, kid.

  • Smash your fucking t.v.!!!!!!!!!!

  • Alright! Big Paul and Youth is back in the band. New album and tour comming up. Howaboutthat?

  • I'm one of the people being chased by the big truck - the one doing the bad girlie running while holding onto her hat (about 2.5 seconds of fame!!!)

  • AWESOME!

  • Dec. 2nd, 2008

    dementingdrivel ...

Could you possibly elaborate further for all of us here on YouTube who are fans of KJ and this video for Millennium, as to what it was like on the set for you and the rest of the extras. Any fond memories of the band or how it all came together? How did you manage to get into the video ... a casting call? Knowing someone affiliated with KJ? Etc.

    Tell us more. :-)

    unitblackflight242

  • Linkin Park and all that other Poser shit licks fuckin balls. Killing Joke has been around forever....because they never sold out...This song is incredible.....

  • Love the Haka in the video!

  • Awesome song, great band, cool video! I'm gonna listen to this band again, thanks!

  • The first time I heard this song, my skin tingled w/ excitement!

  • Now th@'s what I'm talking about! ROCK!

  • FF lol they are not possessed by tribal influences like KJ guys and they follow the leaders.

  • fuckin quality,i remember first seeing this on noisy mothers when i was about 15 or 16,ace.

fear factory didnt do a bad job at all.. at least it wasnt one of the fucking awful excuses for a band that get about now.

  • Taste the salt of my tears

Take the wealth of my years

Singing in the millennium with you

    Resolutions for show

Old ways don't seem to know

Singing in the millennium with you

  • I can still remember seeing killing joke on this album/tour back in 1994 while going to school in London..how I weep for the youth of today having to grow up listening to emo and numerous other eMpTyV-approved commercial acts..you suck children for not having better discernment in music than eMpTyV-approved crap rock..

  • Made my day.

  • Linkin park cover nine inch nails' closer but "linkin park did it better" and the same here... if bands like nine inch nails and killing joke hadn't been around there wouldn't have been a song for them to cover and you can seriously question wether or not those band would even exist without the likes of killing joke etc! besides, ff aren't even the same band now.. all of 1 original member remaining! killing joke still have theirs lol

  • Linkin Park didn't do it better. Neither did Fear Factory.

  • i think FF do it better...

  • I think you knew the FF version before this one...

  • Ahhh, great song. From a better time, when bands where real.

  • Fear Factory do it so much better....

  • Because you are young I will forgive you.......

  • I guess if you like crap, I can see that.

  • I am a huge Killing Joke fan but this is their worst cd their previous releases and the ones after are ALOT better so if you like this you should check out older releases like Noise Dirt and Extremities,Nightime, and new stuff like Hoshanas from the basements of Hell(highly recomended)

  • Aye! I tried for years to find this video! Thank you SO much!

  • i know how you feel..i love this song and never knew there was a badass video for it

  • I have said for years that this is the "quintessential rock song"

It's kind of a sign of the times, as well.

  • Fuck yeah! This is my anthem! Don't forget, Fear Factory does a cover of this bad boy. I think Helmet does a cover too.

  • A rocking good song

  • Just found this song, most rocking!

Love the way he yells his fucking head off!

  • Great song, Fear Factory does a great cover of this song as well

  • i dont think FF done it any good

  • Reminds me of MAD MAX, BRAZIL and HARDWARE.

Great song from a great album.

The remixes on the CD single are amazing too.

  • They also played this on totp as well, i think i have it, BUT! it will take me probably years to find it up in the attic on a vhs!

  • I loved this vid when it cam on MTV's headbangers Ball yeears ago.I loved how the lead singer dressed like'Mad Max' and the Mack truck was kinda like from 'The Road Warrior'

  • I still love this song

    ^_^

  • This is the heaviest song that will ever exist, EweLewz knows the score!

  • The Black Jester certainly knows how to get it done :D

  • Huge song, Huge band !!

  • ugh I love this song... fucking orgasmatic

  • lovely!

  • Cool

  • they cut it off at the end, bastards

  • Wow, nutty video. You're posting some real gems to YouTube here. Love the Joke. I remember back when we all thought the end of the Millennium was some kind of big deal. Ah, the 20th century...

  • What would music be without Killing Joke and Ministry?

    Good job posting this one.

  • Thanks alot Gambit, gradually getting all the Killing Joke videos i had never seen, this made my day!

  • Fuck yes. good shit.

  • Thank tou for uploading this, Gambit.

    KJ!KJ!KJ!KJ!KJ!KJ!

  • Nice one Gambit my old Dutch Cheese. Once I've sussed this out I'll stick a few on myself.
