What about the people dying from aids at a far more alarming rate DAILY? thats not news anymore right? If you add up all the poor souls that have kicked the bucket from the so called swine flu they add up to less than a fraction of a percent of the world population yet this is a pandemic? I think not.
No, you're ABSOLUTELY right. The media is indeed f*cked up. The public never hears about HIV/AIDS anymore in the media/press, BUT it's still spreading. With the lack of coverage, many folks are probably duped into thinking that there is a cure, etc.
