Ah, didn't realize you were over the pond! Lucky then; they're immune where you are. Cherish them. There's nothing worse than looking up and never seeing them again.
Do you still see this bat flying around, and what state are you in? They're becoming rare in certain regions, and some I was once used to seeing flying over a forest nearby are all gone, though another forest a few miles away still has a small colony left.
My husband and i have 2 bats that fly around. We stand on the balcony and watch them. Not exactly sure what type of bat they are though. Would love to find out.

That's very cool. Have you considered buying a bat detector? You could have good fun listening to it's chirrups, squeaks and clicks!

I have just one as well, that circles round my garden at night. well filmed, it's hard to catch them on tape!
