Its why I'm really fond of them now, I'm a diehard lover of the DMB and have been for several years. O.A.R essentially sounds like a significantly younger version of the DMB, but unlike most of the trash music thats being thrown out these days, they have a focus on passionate, jam oriented, and message themed music. I don't think anyone will be able to match DMB's 20 minute jam sessions, but O.A.R sure does come close.

Exactly. I'm a diehard DMB fan too. I hate people that constantly compare DMB to OAR though. We get it, they're similar. That doesn't mean that OAR isn't a great band. Jam band is one of my favorite types of band. I love the music, which is what drew me to OAR.
