At 1:00 I honestly expected Lucas to digitally edit in a backstage pass or invitation into Luke's hand because FORCE CHOKING IS MEAN AND ITS THE DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE BLEEEH!!!! Then when he uses the force to grab a blaster and shoot Jabba dead, make him force push people out of the way so they wouldnt fallin or something dumb like that.
I liked it, would not have been better to just leave our the sunset part ? I mean we know it's from AOTC...but it's sunset, then instnatly it looks like it's the middle of the day..unless it's suppose to imply that Luke had traveled fo a long period.
Great job on the animation and editting, although I'll say that I prefer his low-key entrance from the original movie. Seemed to speak clearly of the more measured, more quietly bad-ass Luke Jedi than a Bay-esque speeder-bike set against the sun.
Great video, I want George take this modifications serious and instead in create crap, coul give more soul to the classic trilogy, Congratulations man, great work you have done, I love it...
The real introduction to Luke is a deleted scene where it shows Luke constructing his lightsaber in a cave right before Threepio and Artoo head off for Jabba's Palace.
The second exterior shot of Jabba's palace (with Luke walking from his parked speeder to the door) is really neat and beautiful! I hope you do more extended scenes of "Jedi."
@Tanzo158 What "fans" nowadays call "moves" are not that at all. The Force isn't a set of techniques that distinguish a Jedi from a Sith (other then Palpatine's Force Lightning). Yoda set it straight in The Empire Strikes Back:
"A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense...never for attack."
Those two gammoreans meant harm and Luke acted, that's it.
@banglefaar If they meant harm then why cross spears in a "blocking" position to not let someone through? Surely if they meant harm they just would've speared Luke there and then. I interpret it as Luke not having quite enough guidance and can succumb to aggression more easily than a Jedi trained not too over decades. I mean that's how he ended up defeating Vader through rage but resisted in the end and didn't give in to the Emperor and Vader establishing him as a true Jedi Master.
@TheStr0ke Back then, Lucas idea on the Force wasn't clarified and I wish it was still presented that way instead of having people with a set of moves like a video game. To some degree, you are right, like father like son. But I also feel that Lucas wasn't thinking about dark and lightside in that scene. I personally think it was to show the audience on how far he had advanced.
Nice try buffy

he used force choke on those Gamorreans thought that was the darkside? lol
slaine1978 3 months ago
@slaine1978 It's not purely a Sith technique. Anakin learnt it before he turned, like many other Jedi.

I've always liked Luke's jedi robe. Too bad he disguarded it in the Rancor Pit. ;(

@KaiserJames it was either that or else trip on it and get eaten by the Rancor lol

but I always liked the idea of luke walking along a bridge in his black robe.
I saw it in some concept art. everyone was looking at him and where in awe.
