What dynamics are you talking about, this is close to stylus phantasticus ,of course it must have dynamics, outherwise why these large organs have been built.
@mrmolinodelahoz That's not ignorant; it probably was written with the harpsichord in mind. Good players know how to make keyboard pieces sound effective on either.
Proof it and I'll believe you! How come I've never heard of you? In my opinion Ewald did a great job. As with all the recordings he made. Too bad he passed away! The dutch have lost a great organ master again in short time!
I love Ewald Kooiman playing Bach and look forward to the release of the CD set! It's a joy to see him play up close.
I would appreciate the introduction of the video to be shorter and to have some audio (25 seconds without audio is an eternity, and I spent a while trying to adjust my laptop and wondering what was wrong with the audio, until I realized it was not my fault).
Yes, it is accepted that this is a harpsichord work. However, it sounds very well in the organ, especially from the great master that was Kooiman.

In my ignorance, I always thought that this was a piece written for the harpsichord.
I am so pleased to hear how wonderful it sounds on the organ, and on this historical organ. What a nice testament and lasting gift to us all.

Don't like this eratic style. This needs to be way more mechanical - he's totally overdone it with the dynamics.
1 star from me for that!

For 55 seconds there goes the beginning for the clip. It is asslarge long. Just look at Karl Richter's video recording and compare.
for 39 seconds there goes the ending.
If we substract 1.34 from the total of 3.52, we get 2.18 as the time period of the video spent to show as Ewald Kooimann.
I'm just trying to say that someone has spent too much time on beginning and ending...

These were keyboard works, and this guy has no sense of rhythm. 1 star from me. And yes I can play it better myself.

The organ-world has lost one of it's greatest artists; he will always be an example to me in what is the right way to play organ-music.

Sad to hear he passed away. May his soul rest in peace with God.

Thank you, I will consider this for my upcoming videos. You are right.
