  • physics wins again... pure weight momentum, pivot points and leverage... quite a useless exercise and is not impressive in any way, shape or form.

  • great job! :)

  • Like a kid at a playground...lol.

  • Great job!

  • lol...slow down lady...do it without the impulse

  • first thing i thought when i saw this is ur bendy lol

  • my brother is ten and he can do 15 i think

  • bicepsagro, i don't understand sorry :)

angrygunsmith, I have no idea whether they are better for wrestlers. The point is that they enable you to do more in less time : maximum power output. They are not intended to replace the strict pullup which is also important :)

  • If kipping pull ups really did increase your maximum power output, then yes, they would be better for wrestlers.

However, don't be misled by all the xfitters who like to toss around their "power" claims. I'm not saying kipping isn't a good exercise, but it doesn't do what some people claim. The simple statement of "same work but less time = more power" doesn't exactly hold here.

  • both types of pullups are good for wrestlers.

the kipping one makes the hips more explosive and the strict one makes you better at pulling harder

i would say both are just as important

  • I totally agree that kipping puts more hips into the exercise, and that's important for a wrestler (used to wrestle myself) but I don't think they are all they are cracked up to be.

If you want to train power, do power cleans. That trains your hips to be MUCH more explosive than kipping ever will. Kipping takes an already good exercise, and makes it do less at what it was intended (pulling) and more at something that is better trained with a different exercise.

  • Thrusters, for example, are a pretty cool exercise. I was quickly humbled first time I tried to plow through them in a crossfit WOD. However, I wouldn't dare sacrifice my squats for thrusters, just because the thrusters incorporate the shoulders as well. I'm going to press for my shoulders and squat for my legs rather than assume I can get either stronger by doing thrusters.

Likewise while kipping does have its place, I think its a little foolish to do them for explosive power.

  • ela que faça as elevaçoes com o corpo direito e sem aproveitar o impulso do corpo.Que use so a força do peito dos braço e das costas.Estes americanos da treta!

  • wow thats good, are kipping pullups better for wrestlers?
