But.....trailers I do no, and this full length Casino Royale trailer is probably one of, if not the, best trailer EVER! It is so perfectly edited to express everything that is exceptional about this movie and the escalation and intensification of the music, is enough to bring a tear to this film geeks eye!

"Casion Royale" and "Quantum of Solace" made Bond have balls. Before that, he was a campy little pussy in the 1960s. He was a fucking joke in the 1970s. He was basically Steven Seagal with Downs in the 1980s. And the 1990s and early 2000s he was a Saturday morning cartoon. WIth the release of "Casino Royale" in 2006, Bond finally was a respectable espionage film without all the stupid toys and jokes fucking it up.
For those who know me personally, this review is a long time coming. Craig plays the Bond that I knew and loved as a child. He is the Bond that Fleming portrayed so brilliantly in all the early books, only with blonde hair in present time. Connery is Connery. God is God. Be careful, one cannot and should never mess with perfection. No one can or ever will ever take Sean's place.

What I think people keep forgetting is that Daniel Craig is NOT playing the Bond we've known for so many years. The Bond he is playing is what Bond was like before GoldenEye, Die Another Day, etc. This is what made Bond, Bond. And for anyone to say that he sucks at playing bond, or he isn't doing it right, is forgetting that we don't know what Bond was like before, this is all new to us. And, he is the closest to Ian Fleming's character since Connery (and then some).
Even if this is pre-Bond Bond just how much could he change from what he used to be? And 2 films devoted to pre-Bond rawness is too much of a muchness, IMO. There has to be some visible traces of the traits that will get polished later, surely? Craig shows not a whit of what Bond should be. That's the problem. He's a fine acor but horribly horribly miscast.
This is the only guy who comes of as realistic to me as to what a Bond would be like in real life. You think guys that do this kind of thing for a living are as prissy as Brosnan was?

If Clooney can be a CIA agent in Syriana, Burton one in The Spy Who Came in From the Cold and Michael Caine can be Harry Palmer, then Brosnan can be Bond. @1UpGamers I agree with you 100%. Which is why i think of this more of a reimagining. Not of the movies, ya know there's no resemblence at all to Dr.No or From Russia with Love or anything like that. It's more of a reimgining of James Bond the Person/Character. Hence the fact the Organization is called Quantum and not Spectre. (as you find out in Quantum of Solace.)

Daniel Craig is by far the best James Bond actor! He is more real to life. In Casino Royale, there's more focus on the James Bond character as compared to the Bond played by Pierce Bronson , where there's more focus on the high tech gadgets. Craig shows that Bond is a person with feelings. Bronson didn't do well in this area.

What makes him so special is that he is a harder edged Bond for today's times. He brought back the coolness that Connery portrayed in Dr. No while at the same time making him a bit more human. He carries himself much like Connery in my opinion but with a new sort of twist.
I actually liked QoS a lot, i think peoplearen't taking into account that all the action overload or w.e you wanna call it, was suppose to show how Bond was feeling after Vesper's supposed betrayal, a sorta a self destructive path it threw him on. I didn't like the new bond girl much, she was sorta stiff at times and the villain left much to be desired, but all in all i don't think the movie was horrible and DC did an awesome job as James Bond, it's reason enough to watch the movie.

Daniel Craig is a great Bond, but I wouldn't go that far. Quantum of Solace took every reason why people would watch a Bond movie, and threw it out the window. It was a huge dissapointment and i hope they don't repeat that mistake again. Any real Bond fan will adore the old movies over that one. QoS is barely even worthy to be called a Bond movie.

Very good movie. i HATE the new quantum of solace. it it was the first bond i ever saw, i would say that james bond was shit. also, mabye this is rubbish, but i think its a tiny bit racist that bond kills two BLACK MEN. why? ... well fuck the director, and script and all the other crap. but, over all, good movie!

Where are the gadgets, Q, cars, martinis, weapons, the "Bond.. James B.."
It has nothing to do with JB it's just an ordinary actionmovie, nothing more.
I am like the biggest Bond fan ever but I will never watch any new Bondfilms again.
May be that Craig is more like Flemings books but there is one thing that people who say that don't get: JB didn't get that famous because of the books but because of the movies! Most people don't even know there are books too.

Daniel Craig is by far the best James Bond actor! He is more real to life. In Casino Royale, there's more focus on the James Bond character as compared to the Bond played by Pierce Bronson , where there's more focus on the high tech gadgets. Craig shows that Bond is a person with feelings. Bronson didn't do well in this area.

What makes him so special is that he is a harder edged Bond for today's times. He brought back the coolness that Connery portrayed in Dr. No while at the same time making him a bit more human. He carries himself much like Connery in my opinion but with a new sort of twist.

I actually liked QoS a lot, i think peoplearen't taking into account that all the action overload or w.e you wanna call it, was suppose to show how Bond was feeling after Vesper's supposed betrayal, a sorta a self destructive path it threw him on. I didn't like the new bond girl much, she was sorta stiff at times and the villain left much to be desired, but all in all i don't think the movie was horrible and DC did an awesome job as James Bond, it's reason enough to watch the movie.

Daniel Craig is a great Bond, but I wouldn't go that far. Quantum of Solace took every reason why people would watch a Bond movie, and threw it out the window. It was a huge dissapointment and i hope they don't repeat that mistake again. Any real Bond fan will adore the old movies over that one. QoS is barely even worthy to be called a Bond movie.

i think its a GREAT bond movie. i HATED all the old gadgets in the old ones. and the story was ALWAYS the same. starts out with a sucesful mission, Bond goes to England, gets an assignment. goes to some country. meets a girl. has sex. fights a few people. gets a few leads. girl dies or betrays him. then he turns off them bomb with 1 second to spare. BORING. Casino Royale is my #1 bond movie. 2nd is Quantum of Solace. cause they both did their own thing. its good that it was differnt

I think Bond was ridiculed and stereotyped by actors like Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan, which made 007 look like a no brainer sex addict inmortal. Hopefully Daniel will change the trend.

Love the movie. Just watched it again after seeing Quantam of the Solace. I can't believe how good it was compared to the new movie out. Love Daniel Craig as Bond, I think Pierce Brosnan was effective in his movies; however, Craig shows such a tough side. Love it!!!
