  • We just trim our rescue-kittie's claws. He's got hellishly long nails and he apparantly doesn't know how to retract them, and he doesn't mind the clipping. He never goes outside anyway.

  • they really work good and saves your leather furniture from geting destroyed lol

  • omg why the hell would even consider declawing ur cat that is sick.. best thing to do is trim ur cats nails its painless its just like cutting ur own nails and its acutally nice lol my cat started to punch me instead of scratching -.-

  • Is this safe? It won't upset the cat by wearing them will it?

  • Daft. Cats are not toys and soft claws encourage kids to rough play with cats, which they hate and could bite them instead, which is even worse than a small dog bite. How can a cat climb trees or jump onto things or defend themselves from predators?. I think this idea is hideous. If you want nice furniture and carpets, and don't want small kids to be scratched, don't buy a cat. Simple.

  • @PotterSpurn I agree this doesn't seem right at all. I just find it easier to buy a scratching post

  • soft claws are from hell

  • This is so much better than declaw.. Love how the black cat with pink soft claws look @ 1.05

  • Doesn't this limit the cat just as much as just being declawed?

  • @Rosalila no, unlike declawing, the cat gets to keep their knuckles, it's painless, and probably cheaper. i'ts kinda like false nails! plus declawing can cause emotional and health problems.

  • This product is great for the Kitties, the owners and the furniture as well : )

  • It's funny how everyone defending cats want to claim they are part of some cat rescue program to make themselves look more professional. Well the local rescue groups around here are filthy and should be shut down in my opinion. Just because you've owned cats for years doesn't mean you're an expert. The only good cat owners keep their mouths shut and take care of their pets.

I just adopted a cat and am considering this product. Hope it's as good as the commercial says it is!

  • WTF ?

i'm french, and french cats have claws, like a cat is supposed to be... childrens know that a cat can scratch, and we don't let a feline, even a cute one ( they are feline, like tiger, panther, jaguar .... ) play with a baby.

and my cats and the others cats i know use their claws by scratching trees outside.

i don't even trim the claws of my cats !

and please, cats are feline, not a subsitute for kids or a kind of toy.

    stop anthropomorphism with pets !

  • I used these on my cat when we lived in an apt and he was indoor-only. They are a godsend! They really work and stay on like 4 weeks+. Don't declaw; try these!

  • Alternatively have a different animal; one that suits your lifestyle. It is absolutely ridiculous to put caps on a cat's claws. I love cats; it is obscene to humanise an animal to make it more convenient to your idea of how a cat should behave. Just don't have a cat. I wouldn't want to wear rubber gloves all day!

  • @cocodoherty77 Given that around 30% of cats in USA and Canada are declawed, this is by far a preferable alternative for those people who would instead mutilate their animals. Soft Claws are also a lot less cruel. Personally my cats are au naturelle, I trim their claws every week.

  • say byebye when you cat trys to climb a tree gettin chased by a dog or gets trapped somwhere, silly americans and their "inventions"

  • @dezmika ur cool

  • @dezmika actually this was made in the United Kingdom.

  • Sorry but america isnt in england, silly american ignorance at it again.

  • @dezmika I never said it was. I said this was made in england, not america. It's pretty ignorant to call americans ignorant. Anyone can be ignorant.

  • @finallywoman18 why so ignorant

  • @dezmika ignorant -

1.Lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated

■he was told constantly that he was ignorant and stupid

2.Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular

    ■they were ignorant of astronomy

    3.Discourteous or rude

    ■this ignorant, pin-brained receptionist

    4.Easily angered

■I is an ignorant man—even police don't meddle with me

I think you just like using that word.

  • @finallywoman18 racist and a facist, don't be hatin jsut because im black. Prejudice american

  • Actually, they come in packs of 40. So you think sitting there and Filing your cats nails is supposed to be easier than slipping a cap on? Even with 'filed' nails, they could still hurt you. If they aren't staying on very long, then you aren't using enough glue. After you put the glue in, you need to squeeze the cap to distribute the glue. I really don't see the need to cuss everyone else out either.

  • There is absolutely nothing inhumane about Soft Claws, my cat doesn't even know they are on. They ARE easy to apply, it only takes a couple of minutes, I don't even have to hold my cat to do it. My cat lives in MY house, and that is a privilege, I do not want my little girls scratched, or anything else in my house. Wearing Soft Claws is a lot more humane than putting my cat outside where she will be chased by the dog, and/or eaten by a coyote.

  • @RoyalBlue4486 You consider it a priviledge for your cat to be allowed inside? What kind of warped philosophy is that? My cats are entirely indoor cats, I don't consider it a priviledge for them, I consider it a right, they are by far safer inside than out - eliminates the danger of dogs, strangers, cars, parasites, snakes etc, that is not a priviledge, that's keeping them safe, something they deserve. I also don't use Soft Claws, or are they declawed (illegal in this country)

  • @nupthatisit Yes, it is a privilege she is a cat, not a person. My children , on the other hand have a Right to live in my house. Hurray for you that you don't feel the need to use soft claws, but I do. There were 3 options for my cat - 1. Declaw. Not going to happen. 2. Make my cat stay outside with coyotes, bobcats and bears.

Not looking like a very good option. 3. Let my cat stay inside and wear Soft Claws, so she doesn't scratch anything and give my husband a reason to put her outside.

  • @nupthatisit It was a no brainer to pick option no.3, my cat doesn't even act like she knows they are there, it isn't cruel. Why don't we let our cats crap all over the house, after all, it is unnatural for them to poop in a plastic box filled with clay. We make them use the litterbox because it is convenient for us and healthier for every one involved. That is how I feel about soft paws.

  • @RoyalBlue4486 I'm not criticising your decision to use Soft Claws, I'm merely picking up on you saying it was a priviledge for them to be in your house. That is a strange attitude to have towards a living creature you chose to own. My cats are basically treated my children. Your comparison with kitty litter trays is somewhat irrelevent, considering it is a health and hygiene issue, not merely about human convenience (ie scratching furniture, which my cats don't do anyway, they have towers)

  • @nupthatisit Cats are not designed to live indoors. They were once wild animals. If they evolved for indoors, I doubt they would even have claw in the first place. Personally, my children come before my animals AND my husband for that matter. BUT I agree with you - my cats are indoors only, HOWEVER, my cats are declawed. ^_^ soft claws would not stay on my cats, even with the vet's help. and here in America, declawing is not illegal, nor is it considered cruel.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal You may notice that several states are beginning to ban declawing. I also think it says more for North America than other civilised western world areas that USA and Canada haven't wholy banned the practice, although it is refreshing to see more and more vets are refusing to do the procedure. For 30 years I have owned cats, indoors only, my method has been to trim their claws and train them to use scratch poles. I've succeeded with a number of cats over this period. No probs.

  • @nupthatisit And for the record, even researchers themselves will admit that theories are not 100% correct, even in controlled environments. I will take personal experience more seriously than research any day. NO states in America currently ban declawing. Some small towns and cities are showing increasing concern for the act, but it is not a legislative debate at all at this point. I do not see it as cruelty at all. Declawing has saved many cats from impending death at overfull shelters.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal ASPCA would beg to differ with you as far as issues of cruelty is concerned. It has been proven that declawing can result in increased agression leading to biting, some cats failing to use kitty litter tray due to sustained long term pain, increased timitidy, spinal problems due to altered gait, increased urination and marking of territory as an increased measure of self defense, and god forbid if your cat did get out, failure to defend itself, thereby exposing to risks of FIV

  • @nupthatisit You can claim abuse all you want, but that only makes you look less intellectual. Interact with a well-cared-for declawed cat and tell me I'm wrong again.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal Am waiting for your evidence showing the benefits of declawing, btw. And I'm talking evidence of research undertaken by professionals and specialists, not anecdotal.

  • @nupthatisit Intellegent is a state of being. Being intellectual is a person's ability to showcast intellegence. I spoke exactly the way i intended to, genius. And I don't need to show people like you evidence at all. People like you are bent on your own beliefs and quick to cast judgement on others who do not agree with you. You are based on statistics taken from environments that cannot be controlled, thus they are NEVER correct. And often, people research what they wish to prove wrong.

  • @nupthatisit Being intellectual is the power of understanding, or showcasing intellegence itself. I said exactly what I meant to say, genius. You are judgemental in the fact that you will not even interact with a declawed cat and quick to attack other people for individual beliefs. How can you care for animals when you isolate them so easily? That's like someone saying they wouldn't interact with a pitbull because they are vicious dogs. Lame!

  • @TheGoddessofMetal BTW just to let you know, I do volunteer my time caring for surrendered and rescued cats, not to mention a current owner of four indoor, undeclawed cats ranging in ages from 12 years to 14 months with no behavioural issues, so don't try bantering around the "I'm a more responsible cat owner than you" bullshit

  • @nupthatisit LOOK OUT VIEWERS - Human being fail fight below!

For god's sake, this is a soft paws claws commercial! And who has the time to argue on the internet? A bunch of trolls, that's who. This vid was informative, unlike the comments that follow it....

  • @nupthatisit I agree with you. Why make a cat suffer? Why get a cat? People are such sick and need to just disappear from this planet.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal Am also wondering, as a cat owner, how often your cats have shown aggression towards you, your husband or your children? If the answer is never or rarely, then your excuse for declawing is feeble at best, extreme and unnecessary at worse. If the answer is often then perhaps you need to look at how you treat cats and whether or not you are suitable for cat ownership. In 30 years of owning cats, I've never had a cat lash out, I provide them an emotionally safe environment.

  • @nupthatisit Your numerous comments are not making your point any more valid than mine. I am well aware of happenings in my own country, thank you. And I never said my cats were lashing out. They are rough players. They were declawed out of my personal choice as a loving cat owner, despite your regards. You don't know me, my cats, or my situation. That "proven" aggression does not apply to mt cats. And their wellbeing is safe in my house and out of impending death in overfull shelters.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal Would that be intellectual or intelligent? Correct use of correct words would do your credibility wonders. It is illegal to declaw in this country, however, if anyone around here dared declaw their cats I certainly wouldn't be interacting with them. As I said, even with a small risk of long term affects, there is no way in the world I would declaw. I think frankly it says more about you than me.

  • @nupthatisit So what are the benefits of not declawing? Aside from the leaving the cat natural, what effect do you think it will have on the cat when it has to be sent away to a new "home"? Don't send me an internet link, as I do not base my facts on articles circling the web. Additionally, such "proof" of benefits are mainly for the owner. The benefits for the cat ensure that it does not end up in a shelter, or worse, on the street or in a half-ass family who wouldn't care for it properly.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal The issues re non-declawed cats re rehoming etc have never been an issue in Australia, as cats here are simply not declawed. And given that only 20% of cats in USA are declawed, and yet over 50% of cats surrendered for rehoming are, one can interpret that as declawed cats are over represented. Why? Because people declaw their cats, the cats' behaviours become more aggressive, and the owners can't handle that. So that would counteract your argument, would it not?

  • @TheGoddessofMetal The issue of undesexed cats is a very different issue of undeclawed cats. Don't confuse the two. I said I wouldn't interact with owners of declawed cats, not the cats itself. It's not the cat's fault their owners are so amoral.

  • @nupthatisit I don't care what country you're from, but in the southest united states, there's an epidemic of feral cats from people dropping them off unaltered on the road. Which is more ethical? The cat cannot hold a grudge when it's life is at stake in a humanistic world. The only grudge holding comes from other people, who preach immorality. You said you won't interact with a declawed cat - that statement is judgemental in itself. I feel sorry for the cats when people stamp them with lies.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal If your children and husband come above all anything else, then it would surprise me that you should choose to declaw, given that research has indicated declawed cats have shown increased agressive behaviour such as biting, a far worse health consequence for humans than scratching is.

  • @nupthatisit That is entirely false. Our cats have been declawed for years and have shown no signs of such behavior. Statements like that are employed by anti-declaw activists, who strive to feed banter to people uneducated in declawing. From experiencing declawing first hand, I strongly believe my experience over anyone's else's hearsay. My cats didn't claw furniture, they would climb up legs despite discipline. It's not all about replaceable belongings. It's about the health of the family.

  • @TheGoddessofMetal Well, if I had the choice of scholarly research conducted by a large number of qualified specialists such as vets, university professors, etc who have conducted extensive research on a number of cats, to the anecdotal evidence of one cat owner, I know which one I'd find the most credible. And you may want to look into what's been happening in California lately, just one example of the number of states making big movements into banning this archaic practice

  • @TheGoddessofMetal " It's about the health of the family." Just wondering where in your mind the health and wellbeing of the cat fits in? because even if there is the slightest risk of harm to the cat, why risk it? Especially as biting causes much greater harm to humans than scratches do.

  • my kitty wears these. But its bullshiit when they say that its easy to put on hahahaha.... i had help from 4 ppl.. and my cat still refused to put them on. But after we were all done she looked beautiful in her hot pink nails she hates them tho. shes always trying to take them off haha and she succeeds with some not all but back on they go ! :)

  • So Jellox you are violent towards women as well as foul mouthed.

  • i fuckin love these things! My dog wears them tho. its fuckin amazing. I have bought the ones for cats yet...my cat is a pain in the ass so i just elave her along lol

  • False nails for cats? Heard it all now. If you want to have a cat then you have to put up with it having claws. If you are worried about small children and antique furniture don't get a cat.

  • @pgorman60 u cant be serious. i wish I could slap u.They make them for cats and dogs.My dog wears them. saves me and everyone else from scratches and my new car. he doesnt mind wearing them and he looks cute. wtf...like im suppose to enjoy being scratched up and my furniture all messed up when there is something out there to stop it than is pain free for my dog and my cat...get over yourself

  • so cruellllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • @lucymonita100 less cruel than declawing

  • my old nebelung that i used to have when was a newborn, she slept with until she died. she never scratched me or got pissed off because i was pulling her tail.

  • Just bought soft claws today... they are AMAZING! My cat was scheduled to get declawed next week...so I figured I'd do some research. When I found out how many negative side effects declawing can have, I decided I didn't want to put my kitty through that. I'm so glad I found soft claws...it was extremely easy to put on my boy and he doesn't even notice them!!!

  • @deeboz25 how much were they going to charge you for declawing your cat? and how long do those soft claws last? thanks

  • @Francheska7778 There are different procedure types so it depends on your veterinarian. They will either surgically remove the first part of your cat's digits or burn them off with a laser. Declawing a cat is not a simple procedure - it's actually amputating part of their phalanx off. In comparison to humans, it would be like cutting off half of our fingers. The cost could range anywhere from $80-$300 but that doesn't include possible complications. The soft claws last about 6 weeks on my cat :)

  • Trim you cats nails with a nail cliper! It's simple, it's free and it's humane. Don't use these ridiculous things let alone mutilate you cats by declawing. F*cking people.

  • God damn O.O all these friggin lunatics go insane when you even hint of thinking about declawing... My god people, I know cats are awesome, but damn! If you have a violent cat that's gunna claw the hell out of that 40 thousand dollar antique desk that your great-great-grandmother bought, it's a kinda smart thing to get it declawed... (considering you never heard of soft paws)

  • You probably don't even realize that declawing removes the entire joint of the cat. It's like cutting all your fingers off at the last knuckle. It's not just removing nails.

  • im glad I found this my baby was 3 days away from his declawing

  • @cast390 Your baby has claws? That's... Weird... I can't imagine what it was like giving birth... Ouch...

  • I wish these had been an alternative when I was younger. I still haven't gotten over my mom declawing my dear baby cat.

  • When I first started using the Soft Paws I had to have the Vet trim her nails and apply the caps because she went nuts when I tried to trim her nails. Now she will let me know when a cap has fallen off and actually seems to enjoy having her nails done. I think she loves the attention. Check out Missbiscuit823, Kitty gets a manicure.

  • I saw one lady on a video have these bright red caps on her cat, and I thought, "How cool are those!" I'm so getting some pretty pastel blue ones for my cat next year. She has needle claws but there's no way I'm getting her declawed. These Soft Claws are perfect for her.

  • nycgurl: the cat won't care about your baby. My cat attacks people whenever you go remotley near her and my baby is one now and has only been attacked once because he was grabbing at her tail.

a baby actually settles the cat.

    Bitch.

  • Why don't you read up on declawing before you do it to your animal? It is literally 10 different amputations. Yes, thats right, they AMPUTATE the BONES OF THEIR FINGERS you fucking faggots.

PLEASE give your kitten away nycgurl, instead of chopping off the tips of its fingers.

  • OMG you retard why dont you declaw YOUR nails . cats love thier claws ya mad sado gay retarded piece of crap .

de-clawing should be banned. The thought of it!

if you really love your cat you wont get it declawed

its just like when you cut your nails wayyy too short and it hurts for a while exept its forever. plz dont declaw your cat. cat hater.

  • just mo'fucking file the kitty's claws man....it's easier....I let mine keep hers so she can climb up the tree I have in my house...but if your is destructive, just file them, don't declaw....!! love cats man...they are awesome evil creatures.....

  • sick cat declawing yankee fucks

if you dont want your cat to scratch then dont get a fucking cat you fat thick cunts

  • Oh shut the fuck up and go suck a cats Dick you ras Bitch.

  • My cats never scratch, because both of them are declawed :)

  • They were great while they lasted - but that wasn't very long. The first ones fell off after 2 days, and 2 weeks later he has about 4 left.

  • The colors are ridiculous xD but I guess makes it easier to see if they've come off.

  • by the way it doesn't last up to 6 months, it lasts up to 6 weeks!!!

  • It comes in a pack of 50, each lasts about 6 weeks, and it adds up to about 6 months. Stupid, they even explain it on their website. First pack won't last as long as the cat's getting used to them they may lick them off.

  • That's why, it lasts up to 6 weeks for each. But when the person asked how long does it last they meant how long does it last until you have to replace it? 6 weeks. And duhh Stupid it last for a total of 6 months but after you replace them 5 times.

  • does anyone know the differance between soft paws and soft claws?

  • I have packages of both and they appear to be identical in every way. Even appear to be put out by the same people. Yet two different names and different packaging. I don't understand why.

  • How the hell am I supposed to put this on my cat!! She would freak out and run!

  • Until she gets used to it, yes, she will get freaked out. Once she's used to it, she'll see it's not going to hurt her and she'll be fine with wearing them.

  • Same with mine. In fact, I'd absolutely love to see someone even try to put these rediculous little caps on my cat's back claws. Mine were declawed in front years ago and I've never once regretted it.

  • this is ridiculous

  • How so? They do work and they're sooo much better than declawing a kitty.

  • i have a cat that scrach me a lot so i got soft claws for my cat

  • soft claws are the best!!!

  • Half the time the cats don't even notice they have them on.

  • yes but if i put them in my cat she is going to eat them!

  • if i even went near my completley bonkers cat with a packet of them she'd eat ME
