This is more than discussion and you know it. A graduating class from a Catholic University should not be subject to this evil that is Obama. The discussions should have been in the classroom. The student hopefully graduates with the values of the University. It was once believed Notre Dame knew the difference between right and wrong.
One of the central values of this University is also the respect of all viewpoints, no matter how fundamentally different they are to the Catholic stance.

Abortion is either murder or it isn't. This is not something only Catholics can think about. It is part of the natural law that everyone, regardless of his beliefs, must comply with. The primary purpose of marriage is the procreation of children. Therefore, preventing conception or even tearing apart a baby in the womb frustrates the natural law. And there IS absolute truth. One religion is not as good as another. A thorough study of Catholicism will prove that it is the only true religion.

One of the central values of this University is also the respect of all viewpoints, no matter how fundamentally different they are to the Catholic stance.
I think it is great that these students should be allowed to hear differing viewpoints on contentious subjects, otherwise they would have a very boring life.
I once attended a lecture by Cardinal Keith Patrick O'Brien, in which he made clear his views on abortion etc, and the resulting discussion and exchanging of ideas was invigorating.

This is pathetic. I think that the president of the school should be fired. He ruined some of the graduates, with what should have been the most imprtant experience of their educational life. You know, Bush acted as a war monger and in essence caused the death of not only US citizens who, let's face it, didn't really need to be over there, but also has caused innocent men, women, and children to lose their lives in the cross fire. All for cheap oil. Pro-choice has a weight associated with it but so does "pro-life;" in case you haven't noticed, a lot of pro-life supporters also support the death penalty and war, not to mention many of their sophomoric views concerning civil rights.
