@masterprepper Especially when with practice an AK mag can be changed out in a few seconds. The weight and bulk of these outweigh any real advantage and that's assuming they work.
So far EVERY US made AK mag I have ever used is junk. Also, how many rounds do you need before the weight and bulk overcome any advantage? If you can't hit it in 30 rounds twice as many probably isn't going to save you. My advice: Learn how to hit your target and make a competent mag change, then you won't need a spray and pray gimmick.
$100 for a "throw away" magazine you can't take apart! AND they recommend "cleaning" a chrome silicon springed mag with water! IDIOTS!!!! Too cheap even for stainless steel. This will fail miserably.
I have a feeling these will not sell. $100 for a 45 round magazine? Drum magazines, new from Korea, are selling for $80. 30 round nib magazines (also from Korea, check Wideners) are selling for $10 flat. New Tapco's are (30 rounds) are going for ten, surplus E. European are going for $10 (30 rounds).
All the above magazines (expect US Palm) can be disassembled for easy maintenance. There is just no reason to buy the US Palm magazines. Anyone who does in my opinion is uninformed.
Hmmmm... 40 round Bulgarian circle 10 - most durable, lightweight, reliable mags on the planet, cost from 35-45$. 45 round quad-stack- bulky, jam-tastic, heavy and require special mag pouches, cost 100$. This is a major fail.
well obviously, they increase the reliability of your firearms, make it more accurate, and lightens the recoil..........It fuckin better for a 100 bucks !!
@Fordfanforlife777 not having to reload as much, longer time shooting at the range before you have to reload your mags. but there may be better options for the price, it depends on how reliable they are, and some guys (like me) are suckers for products that are made in america.
@Fordfanforlife777 yes, but they dont fit in standard mag pouches like this product does, and some people (like me)like to keep everything as consistent as possible. the mags in this vid would enable me to load the same, and would feel the same as a normal mag. when i went prone it would be the same, and it wouldnt be as heavy for long distance traveling or just manipulating your weapon. not saying its better at all, just saying my opinion. i would prefer this product.
@humboldtgunguy You can get pouches/vests that drum magazines will fit to. Also practice with those cheap 30 rounders (wherever they come from) will do you just as well as these quad stacks.
@CullenDoherty ya, i know about the pouches, but if you already had the double mag pouches (many do) you dont have to fork out the extra cash for the new kit. and that consistancy between the standard and these is what i was saying i love. consistancy is everything to me. thanx for your input, have a good 1.
I can get steel mags that might as well be brand new for 9 bucks..and i can take those bitches apart. for 100 dollers i could buy 10 mags that are thinner.
$80-$100? Way to create a product that no one will buy. Why would I buy an $80, 30 round quad stack mag when I can get a $10, 30 round double stack mag?
By the way, who is making quad-stack mag pouches/vests?
The Russians made a prototype quad stack ak74 mag, but it held 60 rounds. US Palm you can do better than bulky medium capacity overpriced magazine. Maybe an ak buttstock and a set of polymer front handgaurds. This and the break apart ak sounds like something Red Hack Jobs would do, not US Palm
US Palm is fail on this. You are making expensive novelty items on a cheap gun. I would buy a 45 rounder quad stack BUT you have to keep in mind that a round drum holds more and is the same price.
@Breakneckhydra1 Sorry my mistake, they are on sale right now at centerfiresystemsdotcom for $80. I bought two after black friday for 75 each then went back up to a 100... but apparently they are cheaper now.
once you star messing with a mag this way it will have issues look at the sten mag it was a double stack single feed and thats the big drawback of the sten and why it had jaming issues (on some mags that conveted them to single stack single feed these are the 20 round ones you find)
@JohannWendt BWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!! I can get surplus 30 round AK mags for $10 ALL DAY!!! What planet are you living on? I can get new poly mags for almost as cheap as well. What are you smokin!?!
@VeritasVacuus The point is to try to limit that crappy AK mag that gets in the way of everything and is about as UN-tactical as it gets. Its not trying to set a record for a new high complicity mag for an AK. Just trying to fix a design flaw in the original magazines.
@pac6010 By what you are saying, the flaw is not solely on the standard 30 round AK47 mag. But on all standard 30 round 7.62 mags. I'll argue with the fact that your off hand arm surrounds the mag on one side and your hand is in front of the mag. so tactically handling it is relevant, how?
@VeritasVacuus What are talking about are you drunk on maple syrup or something lol ? I'm not talking about it gonna help in how you hold the gun. I'm talking about generally getting into a crouching or a prone position is gonna be much easier with these mags.
@pac6010 I love how the first sentence of your reply is grammatically wrong, and also includes an insult to my nationality. Good for you. Maybe when you grow up I'll respond with my answer.
@pac6010 You say you could care less meaning you care but have to ability to care less, hence the "fuck off" you say. I'm at a loss Are you that grammatically ignorant?
Everyone on their Facebook page has asked for OD green 762 mags and mags for 5.45 but does US Palm listen? No. They make this crap and ignore customers. Stupid company.
very cool, I can't see myself buying one in that price range though. if they could get the price down to $40-50 I would probably pick one up just to get a feel for it.
