I was at that show that day,I'm 51 now, and remember waiting close to an hour and a half after Scorpions left the stage until they played this on the big screens. At the time I thought its what was really happenin' backstage, but now u can tell it was prerecorded. They were blitzed when they went onstage, cause the music was very loose. I had already seen them twice before this show and they were at the top of their game in '78 and '79. By the way, i got to shake Eddies hand that day as he got

I read about this in Daves book - first time I ever hear 'big' Ed (as opposed to Ed VH) Anderson talk - the whole scenario was a massive set up about Dave schtupping that gal .......according to him it was how he 'banged' out the bridge to 'Panama' :D
