yes! i have heard of and seen it: fish live under the plant beds eating algaes and organic matter , and their excrements cycle up to feed food crops that clean the water ...some peole even harvest a few of the fish to go with dinner as well!

Indeed, it can actually be dangerous to use human excretions on plants that you consume. Only do this if your diet is strictly vegan and you do not take any kinds of medications.

Human urine as a fertilizer is nothing new, but it's better for ornamentals (i.e. Roses, your grass in your front yard / back yard, etc...) than for your vegetables.

Very cool. It is really cool to see someone do things so natural. I was brought up on organic foods and use things like acodophlius or however you spell it for taking care of heartburn vs tums. lol. it really does make a big difference on how healthy a person is vs eating all the foods now a days with steriods feedin to the animals and what not. slippery elm , form the bulk section of your health food store, works great for heart burn, stir a couple spoonfuls in a half glass of water til it thickens and drink down to coat and protect from acid

uva ursi herb tincture, we use the gaia herb brand along with unsweetened cranberry juice, which, if too tart for ones palate, can be taken as a dried powder in a capsule or cut with a green juice that is not high in apple or carrot

I'm trying to grow my own tobacco. This year's crop (my 1st) wasn't too bad, but I must be able to do better! That's why I'm trying to figure out anything that might help to let them grow to the max (approx. 1.60 m). I already heard and read about chalk, ashes from the fireplace, pieces of fatty fish, and last but not least your cucumber juice pee.

As beer contains quite a lot of nutrients, such as grains, barley, wheat and sugar, I'll give it a try. Keep you updated on this!

yes, growing toms in vegas and in northern ca and on the east coast, VA. all you need is a variety that does well in your climate (ask at local nurseries and research your climate zone on line), compost and rock dust for mineralization and not to over water....we steak ours since we have limited space but that is optional

Nice that you're able to grow lettuce right now. It's so hot here that even in the house it's about 82 (i don't like to run the AC too high), so even my hydroponic lettuce bolts after about 2 months in my kitchen hydroponic boxes right now. I still keep eating until most of the leaves are gone though, then I replace it. I try to keep a perpetual harvest as much as I can.

Thank-you for being so brave to put the pee idea on youtube! I am going to try and be brave also, and say that I try to decrease my toilet paper consumption and use little washable towels to wipe myself after I pee. I then wash them and use them again. I'm sure it saves a lot of trees!

are you a truck driver? i think some of those guys just pee in a bottle to be lazy not for the garden but it is good either way to avoid nasty public bathroom germs. mine goes straight to the ground because it is clear and odorless due to a high water diet, if it is not, you would water it down and just get the ground/roots not the leaves
