Sad to hear Hopi escaped the Placerita Canyon Nature Center in July -- apparently a male barn owl wooed her and she chewed her way out of her enclosure. Hope she's ok!

The Owl is beautiful! I love all animals, but owls are really amazing to me. Almost have a "human" or cat like face. And (blush) I think Ranger Frankk is kinda cute! Now I am really blushing! Hope that wasn't too bold! :)

here in the United States, it is illegal to own any sort of them. Either you get a falconer license, work for a zoo, or work for a converstation enviorment.

My step fathers friend has an european eagle owl he's not fully grown yet but still a stunning creature. He had to get the special licenses to keep the owl - has a proper full enclosure for him to rest and play in
