@BONNNNNNNNNNN the music video does not match the spiritual intent of the song. But yeah, in a spiritual sense, it is not "good" as much as it is "comforting". Thatis, that we all suffer in our post fall world, and its part of life, I guess.

I absolutely love this band! Although, when I first heard this song, I took it on in a more spiritual manner. Like the lyrics "bruised and bleeding, I see the suffering in your eyes" I always thought of more as a spiritual feeling. Like the events in life are weighing heavily on oneself but that "this hurt is for a reason" Either way you take it, spiritualy or physically, its an excellent song.

If there is anything more disappointing to me in the Christian music industry than it's generic sound, written as if its only purpose is to provide a "Christian" counterfiet to secular music, is its pathetic attempt to make music videos. It's almost too painful to watch. Music videos like the one here are a waste of good money that can be used for meaningful causes. not for videos that tell a completely different story than the song, and that's the pattern i see in the Christian music ministry.

God wants them to say, and how

The way I see the lyrics, I take it that even after God heals us, we are so ingrained with this idea of "fair trade", that we need to repay God, and we can't accept that we can just throw away the old stuff, so we keep looking back and getting caught up in our old pains. It's where our necessary pains lead us, do we grow from them as God intends, or do we lie down and give up? Will the pain "give birth to new life" or do you see it as "suffering for no reason"?

I've been in an ambulance - after I broke by back 5 years ago in Houston, TX...& the driver of the ambulance was extremely rough!!! He made sharp turns & rammed over every bump instead of trying to take it easy & make the ride more comfortable. He hurt my back more than before I got in the stupid ambulance. It was almost as bad as Mr. Toads Wild ride at Disneyland! He should have been more thoughtful. My life wasn't in danger. I wasn't dying. I'll never forget that ride. It was reeeally bad!
