Dig how he just sits there with his trousers halfway rolled up his legs and his clothes all crumpled - and he just doesn't give a flying squirrels ass haha - and rightly so! Respect Mr Attenborough, you are THE MAN.
How disappointing to see that a production like this has only 7,260 views while something as inane as idiot punching idiot receives millions upon millions of views. Oh humanity, where is thy value?
Truly a man of great personal charm, a stupendously wonderful communicator with such a breadth of experience to share so beautifully. Clearly enjoys his impressions too I note.
I admire his work. I've a problem with his over population scenario. The world can EASILY support the 7 billion on the planet,,,,and many times that. (As far as space, everyone on earth could live in a comfortable home on a plot of land in an area the size of Texas and the planet can EASILY handle ALL the needs of humankind.) The problem is that "leaders" of the world are incredibly corrupt. The entire governance of mankind his being handled by stupid greedy bungling criminals. That's OUR fault.
@t4705mb6 Maybe it's because I'm a semi-rural guy, but I think we have enough people in the World. Sure, it may be possible to fit in billions upon billions, but would you really want to live in that world? I wouldn't.
@russellrummage It is a fact that, as people's lives improve, they AUTOMATICALLY practice birth control - the better the REAL education, the more aware people become of the population question. This is reflected in statistics of every country with the highest standards of living.
To ask if I want to live in a world with more people -
The earth could EASILY be a "utopia" if we had the intelligence and could simply rid ourselves of the criminals running the corrupt show - those "gangs" we allow!
@t4705mb6 I'm afraid I don't have your optimism. I can't see the global quality of life improving in time, so my opinion is we need to cap births. But I'm English so it doesn't matter, there's too many third world countries having an obscene amount of children.
@russellrummage I was a bit astounded by your answer. Don't see things improving? Then, I must say, I don;t think you are working for IT hard enough. Life is a bit of a shit. There is perception & then the real cesspool of opportunism. "History" is presented as 2000 years old for a reason. That's when the current world cabals took hold.
I am an environmental engineer (6 letters after my name). I am simply telling you that IF we got rid of the world's criminal ruling class, we could make it.
@t4705mb6 Well it turns out we actually agree on this. My pessimistic comment is precisely because I see the criminal ruling class getting everything wrong and possibly sacrificing the existence of civilization itself just for personal greed. So yes, if we get that to change then I'll be optimistic again. But we need some kind of a new popular enlightenment or something, and all I see everywhere is stupidity. But I hope I'm wrong about this lol don't worry about that!
@russellrummage Most human beings are not very (for lack of a word) "evolved". Most would be surprised at how fast a neighbor or even a friend could be enticed to torture or even murder them. We know this from the Bush administration, Nazi Germany, Stalin's Russia and many clinical tests.
For many years I have tried to bring the fast approaching horrors brought on by the "entitled" do-nothing rich with virtually NO result.
I'm afraid the world revolution against tyranny will be very bloody.
@t4705mb6 That's a frightening fact, about how easy it is for humans to degrade to 'animal' behaviour. I'm only 26, and I never thought I'd ever get the feeling that I was born too late. Even with all the modern day comforts I feel like I wish I was my Dad's generation, as it seems they may miss the bullet. But also I have no idea what changes need to be done either. Some sort of capitalist/socialist hybrid??? I dunno, I know nothing of economics or sociology. Oh well, chin up I suppose!
Jim Kalili is doing well for himself. Only a few months ago, I was watching him give a small presentation to a room of no more than 20 or so secondary school students.
