Matt actually got kicked out of rehab and the court made him go back and complete it. He's there now.

What was the date of this interview? Was this before he was released because if not--I can see why he never got a push. Even Chris Jericho who got buried big time by HHH knew better than to call it like he saw it in 2005 when he gave his interview praising HHH as the center of the show. Matt has got to learn to politic backstage if he ever wants to get anywhere. Though I suppose that's a moot point now since his career is over.

Not a doctor but I think Matt has some serious ego and entitlement problems. I get that the Hardy's, Dudley's and E&C were the greatest tag team division ever. I get that Edge went on to be champ, Christian got there eventually and despite being a drug addict, no-showing, fired by TNA (in 2006), stuntman Jeff made it too. The Dudley's had what it took but retreated to the safety of the tag division. Just because he was surrounded by future stars didn't entitle Matt to be one himself!

The thing that struck me about him is that by '08-'09 when he was finally getting some main event coverage, he was the EXACT SAME CHARACTER he was back in 1999. He wasn't even doing V1 or V2. Jeff was the charismatic enigma, Christian was Captain Charisma, Edge was the Rated R Superstar. Matt was...Matt Hardy. There was something missing there for main event.

matt always puts his brother down, i watched their dvd on netflix and he always says oh im the better wrestler, jeff is more spontaneous blah blah blah blah and he always wants to take credit for the stuff he does, people like jeff because he shows us something different the only reason why i like matt was because at the time my favorite wrestler was dating when they broke up i realized how bland he is he has no mic skills and isnt a big high flyer and hes not a good technical edge ftw!!!!!

The only reason the hardyboys got over was because of lita. There is a reason when the had the first draft that she was picked #10. She was way over before they were. Lita had been in the main event on raw twice before that. While I don't think matt ever main evented again
