  • You are so awesome. I am having the hardest time finding a good wholesaler for the products. Would it be rude of me to ask you for recommendations? God bless and thats for all you wonerful videos and tips

  • @Jesusismygrace PM me and let me know what your looking for you can google everything about soaping its out there but I do have a couple of favorite suppliers if you need them. Louise

  • Your video inspired me to make a soap that looked like this, as yours is so gorgeous. However, all my grated blue soap melted!! Sigh. Even if I let the mixture cool down, it starts to skin and thicken too fast to wait for it to cool down much. Any tips would be much appreciated :) x

  • @unstoppableguy Keep stiring it until it cools down, don't walk away a skin will form on it get it to about 130 then try pouring but be fast some will melt but the majority will stay, keep working with it in small batches until you get the feel of the temp to pour I hope that helps and look forward to some videos, Louise

  • Louise, I am in total AWE of your things. I watch every video about 10 times each lol . YOU are what got me the nerve to start playing with MP! But I do have one question ( ok I have a zillion but I'll ask just one ! )You used the cheese grater, but what size/side?

  • @princessoffire1107 A regular cheese grater use the largest side for cheese. If you have any questions just send me a private message. Thank you so much for watching my videos and good luck in soaping, Louise

  • I have loved soapmaking for a long time. I finally have decided to make it to sell. How well do u do selling ur soap

  • @kreccg I do very well selling wholesale only, I sell locally to business, no farmers markets yet as I work a FT job and still want my weekends free.

  • Just wondering..that white soap base how is it not hardening while your doing other things? please get back to me ASAP

  • @snowman358 I use my hand to gauge the temps on my soap it has taken me some time to do this but it will stay warm awhile you just have to watch it, and when it cools down just pop it in the micro again in short 30second bursts...I hope that helps.

  • Hi please can you tell me what sort of clay you use and how and when you add it...just love all your soap videos. Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi ive now made my soap, but had a few problems..Hope you will be able to help.I pops my greated bits in the bottom, wasnt sure how long to let it cool so it didnt melt my greated bits and it set on me n had to remelt. Is there a certain temp before pouring. Also the skin started to form so quickly so was hard to put the curls into the top. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Debbie :)

  • @Rainbowdrops31 Glad to hear you working with M&P soap. Yes some soap bases are trickey and you have to find a melting point but not too hot or else it will melt the grated soap...lol..keep working with the base and find a temp that is warm to the touch and make a small batch to find the temp that you need...you can still put the embeds thru the skin on top just push them down into the soap...but if its too cool it won' t work..I hope this helped. Louise

  • Hi sorry just another quick question is it best to fragrance the soap that is going to be greated/curled as well.

    Many thanks Debbie

  • @Rainbowdrops31 I don't use fragrance in my embeds but you can...feel free to do what you like try different things and you'll find what you like to do..good luck with soaping.

  • Hi thank you for your reply. I to love slidey creamy soap lol so conna get all the stuff n get cracking.

    Debbie x

  • Hi love your soap. ive been making HP and CP soaps but would like to try MP soap next. Could you tell me what kind of mp base do you use, also why do you add clay and do you need to. Sorry also with the grated and curled bits do you melt your soap and colour it let it set and them grate it ect, also what kind of colour are best for mp soap. Sorry so many questions

    Debbie

  • @Rainbowdrops31 Hi Debbie, well you can buy clear or white melt & pour soap base...I use both in my soaps.

I add the clay for a nice slide and its great when your shaving...lol. You melt the base then add color then mold the soap it really very easy I buy my colors from KB trading online. I hope this helps and wish you much luck with melt & pour. Louise

recipe for m&p only designs that are used...so jump in and have some fun..Louise

  • Louise,

what companies do you get the melt & pour from?

  • @psjboutique Hi,psjboutique if you send me a pm I will tell you. Thanks for watching !

  • I've recently started making soap again and your videos have been such a great help. There were things I forgot and some I did not know. Thank you so much for sharing!

  • @CSouthCac Your welcome, hope to see your videos soon!

  • I'm so amazed how kind some of the youtuber's are about how you share some of your tips to help out others and the creativity is just awsome. Love your work!

  • @shugaphut thank you..I hope you can also share with us!

  • does your soap have SLS in it?

  • @spunkybabe4000 I buy my base from a company that sells both with sls and without...I buy both...some

people don't care and others do...I hope this helps you.

  • How do you get the soap out of that type of container?

  • @sugartastic1 With M&P you just break the air seal from the bottom and it comes right out! You can spray very lightly with pam when working with m&p...only. I got my molds from dollar tree only 1.00 but you can use

just about anything with m&p for molds.

  • very nice. can you make some more soap videos also where do you get your scents

  • @greeneyezA1 that fragrance was purchased from natures garden, one of my favorites, I will try to make more videos, what would you like to see? Are you new to melt & pour?

  • very nice. can you make some more soap videos

  • Hi Louise!! Wonderful video and lovely soap!!

How much of the Kaolin clay do you add to your soap? Say per pound...

  • @mizgirl23 I add about 1 tsp. per pound of soap...you can add more just start out with that measurement and then play with it, use it and see how it feels...I hope this helps :]

  • Essentials by Catalina, they are in California.

  • And what place do you get your soap?

  • Thank you,not very good with camera yet..lol forget to use it when I do soap making.

  • I cant wait to see it all cut up it looks great, I love your soaping area, beautiful job!! I have never smelled that scent yet I will have to give it a try!
