  • thats a nice radio in the stock spot, what kind is it?

  • U got to pump it and then rev it like no tomorrow

  • Disco machine! But Nice!

  • c'mon you gotta pump it to get a good start

  • You need to pump the gas a few times, you can't just get in and start a carbeurated car like that.

  • I love these trans ams!! Awsome car bro!!

  • Thumbs up if you think fashizzle369 is a twat.

  • nicee.... too bad they are gas hogs my 79 went through 30$ in 3 days and I was drivin it like a old guy hahaha

  • gotta love those turbo wheels!

  • I am surprised at how good those numbers are, most I read were way worse. Its too bad about those days, when they stoped advertising HP numbers becuase how low they were compared to early 70's.

  • pretty ass car bro

  • Man i love this car, actually im currently on a personal life quest to get a 79' T/A with 4-speed and 400 block, i wouldnt mind it being an anniversery or not, in fact i'd preffer black with red interior if i could find one but id take any one sent my way haha

    Love the car man!

  • I got the same trans am but mine's in worse condition, but i'm working on it

  • i ve had 6 1978 4 speed trans ams and i love them 15.3 is the correct time for a stock one.

  • BEAUTIFUL! I had a 1980 Turbo with a built up and transplanted 73 455 Poncho. 13 secs flat in the 1/4 but MAN did that thing use some gas and put out some fumes. XD

These are the best looking TAs that Pontiac made IMO.

    Again, yours is BEAUTIFUL! :)

  • My dad and I are working on restoring one now. The poor car was in a field, unprotected, undriven, uncared-for.. for 15 years at least. Rusty as hell, brakes shot, and with wasps living on the underside, too. Unfortunately, we weren't able to save the "shag carpet" due to plenty of water damage, though I don't think I would prefer to have that even if it had been salvageable. The hood-bird is almost entirely gone, too, but we're going to fix that as well.

    She's looking much better already.

  • Wow! That thing is in nice shape. I test drove one of these in the late 80's. Very rare...only 7500 produced and only 1800ish of them were 4spd. Also,I think the first year for the delco ETR.

  • These cars wern't about gas mileage. Just making a lot of noise. being cool, and having fun with the t-tops off.

  • thats a bad ass ride, my grandmother had one since it came out of the showroom in the 70s. I dont't remember much because she died when I was real young, and my uncle sold the car, but all I remember was it was fucking LOUD

  • IS it forsale?

  • beautiful car....my dad just restored one of these.....but lose the stereo.....its a fucking muscle car. what are you going to listen to thats more bad ass than that exhaust .....i mean....really

  • i love these cars had a 1978 ws6 should have never sold it 20 years ago, have never liked any car i ve had since including my 1972 454 ls5 4 speed vette,2001 rag top mustang g.t and presently a mint condition iroc z with a mega horsepower 383 stroker, they re all nice but long live the t/a 6.6

  • I hear what your saying, I sold my 79 back in december '08, but am now in the process of buying it back.........for 2000 more than what he paid. love makes you do stupid things lol

  • keep it, its a great car.

  • lol thanks for the specs i was just gonna look go up the hp/tq on the 400ci when i saw it

  • yeah but im in california and was looking for one to drive to school

  • Well im putting a 79 T/A with a 400 on the road in november as my daily driver so i'll let you guys know. Manual should help with gas mileage if I can keep my foot out of the firewall! :D

  • Beautiful car

  • what kind of mileage you get?

  • Me? or the guy in the video? lol

Im not too sure of my mileage. Prolly 19 or 20mpg

  • I'll bet that car gets a whopping 5 or 10 miles per gallon ;-)

  • Thanks for the kind words... :)

  • @fashizzle369 well what do yo expect.... the trans am is not a super car with a v-12 and does not have 400,000$ price tag
