I would further expound "scare tactics" to "abusive or oppressive rhetoric", the purveyors of such rhetoric are not interested in enlightening, only in persuading, or bullying into agreeing. rhetoric that bullies people into not disagreeing should not be tolerated by anyone who loves the truth and the search thereof.
We need a system of ethics in rhetoric. The first ethic of rhetoricians should be a pursuit of truth.

Hey Nathan. People have tried to make an ethics of rhetoric before, but the problem is prescriptivism of any kind is too slow to change when language does. Personally, I'm not for trying. This video isn't meant to be a formalization of rhetorical ethics, just a scolding. And I'll be the first to say that truth is entirely innessential to rhetoric, it's just ultimately counter-productive in these examples.

The dildo is awesome, however I hold the view that although it terms of climate change (it is not Global warming, it is more complex than that, it is climate change) even if you may argue, we are not suffering now, it is clear that our society needs to become less wasteful, and since we live in a society of fools, scaremongering, in this case, is right.

Great as always, but at ~2:40, I believe you overrate the intellectual capacity of the "word terrorist" - a comprehensive vocabulary is assumed. But is that frequently the case? I don't think so. Reading YT comments leaves one with the distinct impression that the upcoming generation are very, very poor indeed when it comes to expressing their thoughts in written form.
