Stopping for breaths? or not?

@roofskis There has been no change in the recommendation for a
compression-to-ventilation ratio of 30:2 for single rescuers of
adults, children, and infants. The
2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC continue to recommend
that rescue breaths be given in approximately 1 second. Excessive ventilation should be avoided. Hands-Only (compression-only) CPR is easier for an
untrained rescuer to perform and can be more readily guided
by dispatchers over the telephone.

Ok this may be a stupid question but when giving breaths, am I inhaling then only exhaling into the person or inhaling

@WatchmenAtom U just exhae....cause the diafragm do the rest of the work making the victim to exhale....pressure compensation.

@WatchmenAtom
You inhale outside and then exhale into the patient.
If you do not inhale, the quantity of your exhaled air will not be sufficient enough for rescue as the air should cause chest to expand going beyond the bronchial tree into the alveoli of lungs
