Why were the X58 motherboards designed for the new Icore 7 ? Is the perfomance of 4 DDR3 rams really noticeable ?

The x58 motherboards were made for the Intel core i7 because it was a new kind of CPU that added more things into the chip and changed the design of previous quad cores. For example the memory controller is now in the chip instead of in the north bridge and plus it has 8 hyper threads which makes it double pumped and better than the old quad cores. Since the CPU design was different they had to come up with a new design of the motherboard which thus created the x58 Mother Board.

Im glad that Asrock is making better and even more interesting boards. I hope that quality check will rise as well. But the real question with those 4 + PCI slots and Fireware how well have you made priority issues? Are all 4 really usable without any sharing? Also with fireware? Does it have really dedicated IRQs and not shared with anything else?

The Apic mode has been already set as Windows default setting , the device driver will allocated the IRQ setting without share .

Please continue with your good support. 2-3 years ago, I would dismiss any thought of having your boards. Only Asus and Supermicro. After dealing with Asuss support and quirky behavior of these boards, now I mostly recommend to all my friends Asrock. Your support was always good and future seems bright for your products. I only wish they use mora time to design the AMD boards... Just one extra fan conector and bad cool&quite on some boards is the only thig they mest up...

I do own ASRock (not this board though) and I'm very happy with it.

My one complaint however is that my board, and this one too, only has ONE connector for case fans. There are workarounds for this, sure, but I'd like to see more fan connections on the mobo.

The Gigabyte includes a PCIE 4 with the open end, that'll take pretty much any PCIE card.

Number of PCI-E slots =/= Performance. ASROCK is a budget brand.

Makes a great point and these guys are making some good innovations with this new design. I hope the durability and overclockability are same if not better then other brands of same chipset type. Never realized the lowest slot was incapable of being filled due to the connectors interfering.
