This product states that it will work on all types of ceramic tile and stone, NOT! Liquid Nails is still much cheaper! Stupidmat works out to about $2.50 per square ft., that's pretty expensive to watch my tiles fall and break on the counter! The idea would have been great if it worked and was cheaper! Could be used instead to make tile post-it notes for Fred Flinstone."

This stuff is terrible. I used it to put up my backsplash consisting of mosaic tiles w/ open mesh. Followed the instructions to the letter, and within 2 weeks I had entire sections of tile falling off.
You would do just as well to have some tubes of silicone or liquid nails on hand... You'd get a better bond and save money, too... This seems a bit gimmicky and not for great longevity... This is coming from an industry professional..
I CANNOT WAIT TO USE THIS PRODUCT!!! i'm soo excited to do my first tiling project! any tips I could use? and, for a countertop- do you recommend a water seal type product after grouting?
"They're not going anywhere" turns around and they all fall off. lol.... I was just waiting for him to turn around and yell at all the people in the background to "SHUT UP" I actually want to try this product... see if it really works, looks like it would. I sense a weekend project comming up.
Thanks for the good question but the short answer is no. SimpleMat can be used on countertops, backsplashes and walls, as well as for craft and decorative projects - but not on floors.
when tile is on the wall do you have to put grout over the tile????
