i've read all the comments (before this one) and i see that many complain about the physical contact. i can say that IT IS physical contact in this sport, i play it myself and have been shoved over the rink many times, and shoved others over it aswell.

the best with this sport, btw, is not the physical contact. it's the SPEED! its a very fast game and you have to run all the time and pass the ball very quickly, or else the opposite team will take it.

you can tackle shoulder to shoulder if you are trying to get to the ball. no slashing, no checking. if done right the games can get pretty tough.

goalies are required to wear a full suit of padding accompanied with a helmet... many goalies prefer to use their bare hands whereas others use gloves.. it's really up to the individual.. and no goalies don't use sticks...

and yes i believe physical contact has to be there to make any team sport more challenging... and i'm pretty sure there is in floorball.. dun compare floorball and icehockey man it's simply 2 different sports right now the way they're developed

floorball is really fun! i get massive injuries on my legs from amateur handling of the sticks and an overenthusiastic amount of violence from teammates/other team and flying wiffle balls but it is allvworth it. Battle scars and all, y'know.

Just hit the guy hard eneough and he will know not to do it again.... this will better the game becuase the players will have to get better to score flashy goals in more difficult situations

The word Bandy comes from an old english word for a bent stick 'bando'. Bandy is played on ice with a hard ball and football (soccer) rules.

"Indoor-Bandy" was invented in Sweden as a workout sport and is extremley fast.

I believe that floorball is the sport with the highest rate of injuries in Sweden.

I agree im 5 foot 6 , Im small and im fast and i use my speed as an advantage, but without hitting the game loses its toughness. you have to intimidate the opposing team.... take a look at the canadiens national team , they are the toughest around and no one can stop them (usually)....( im an american, I hate the canadians)
