Alfredo Kraus, Luchano Pavarotti, PlacidoDomingo y José Carreras han sido los cuatro "Mostruos" de la Lírica, Zarzuela y Opera que nos han hecho pasar muchas horas felices, sobretodo, aquien nos gusta la Opera y el género chico (Zarzuela- Opereta). Lamentablemente dos de ellos ya nos han dejado cosa; que pasará muchos años en que vuelva a haber algo similar a ellos.

Kraus is a GERMAN name although here in Central Texas, Germans and Mexicans have intermarried so much they are ALMOST one and the same. This ones looks and sounds German but he has the musiciality and expressiveness of a Spanish tenor. Another EXCELLENT example of a PERFECT blend of two similiar musical styles. He might even be a Shefard.

Alfredo Kraus was Spanish, from the Canary islands. He had Austrian ancestry. He was one of the greatest tenors of the twentieth century, well up there alongside Bjorling, Pavarotti and Caruso.
