  • this was my dads favourite band every time he seen an accordion band he would always say no ones as good as the thornliebank, and he was always looking recordings of them, sadly my dad passed away 5 years ago, and about 2 weeks after i seen a recording of thornliebank on ebay, so every time i see the band i think of my dad, he was a member of the gertrude star and im a member of the shankill road defenders

  • This band came to my house when I was a little girl in Belfast on the 12th of july when my father was worshipful master of Ballinafeigh Orange lodge 596. I am now 48 yrs old it was a great day!!

  • @shannonmac44 Unofrtunately the TAB are off the road nowadays due to their massive number of loyal elderly members however they are still going strong with functions and competitions.

There is also Airdrie Argyll; Crown Acc.B. from Dreghorn; Pride of Paisley are also still going but short on numbers at the moment, they are in need of side drummers.

  • @uhumagoo1 Forgot to mention Firhill Acc.B., they are still going and walk with Maryhill district.
