  • molly hatchets 1st two albums were as good as anything skynyrd ever did.....ronnie vanzant loved these guys.....if they would have never broke up in 80 who knows how big they would have been.....and they are still a great show.

  • you cant ad-lib through molly hatchet....you either know it or yur screw'd.....great stuff......i still play this stuff in the clubs and people look like they were shot in the balls.....priceless

  • @wkunderwood2003 umm one question is that a good thing.I mean if i were shot in the balls i dont think i would have a good look on my face lol.btw awesome song

  • as good as it gets

  • I was so lucky to get to open up for Molly Hatchet in Catskill New York in 1994 DJB was back with the band at that time and his voice totally floored me. I saw Hatchet in concert in at the Nassau Colisseum in Long Island new york in 1981 with a different singer and it was no comparison!!! DJB AND HATCHET RULE!!! If any of the band members read this thanks again for great southern rock and letting Brimstone share the stage with you. Elliott

  • The ``BEST MUSIC`` Ever ........

  • Danny Joe Brown...one great american!

  • DJB and Molly Hatchet was the the sh*t back in the day !!! Still sounds pretty damn good !!!

  • One Lady Gaga fan watched this, but why?

  • Fuck obama and his ads!!!! January 29,2013 the END of an ERROR!!!

  • @zziggys Thanks for your thoughtful. musical commentary, dude!

  • @zziggys i think i got an ad for ron paul when i watched this....

  • smack ass you are right Danny was one of a kind !!!

  • Danny Joe Brown..1 of a kind

  • Now this is MUSIC!!!

  • @sMACKaSSo fUCKIN ROCKIN

  • He is all that . Great and yes turn it up all the way.

  • some great southern rock! HELL YA!

  • After all this time, still " BADASS " as ever.

  • Did someone say turn it up , HeLLLLLLLLLLL YEAH !!!

  • No one's gonna put these boys to shame, what with Thunder Throat at the mike. DAMN! he's got some pipes. Can they play? YEAH!!!!!!

  • 450$ now

  • Did you know $500 will get your head blowed off, it will!

  • did you know 500 dollars will get you head blown off.....it will.... ha ha haaaaa! simply awesome kick ass song. i remember seeing molly hatchet in worcester massachusetts at the centrum in1979 and a huge poster of their flirtin with disaster cover came on the stage behind them. and we all just went crazy and got into fights and started beatiin up anything that was near us. good times wild times. thanks for the memories molly hatchet..

  • @lorileeslove Aint it true that these first songs were raw energy and desire to make SouthernRock???Great stufff

  • i grew up listening to molly hatchet

  • Since gator country was a pro-Florida song and Florida is now filled to the brim with yankees and mexicans.....the "mouth of the south" award now goes to the CDB.

  • molly hatchet bounty hunter is one of my favorite songs gijoe989.

  • I'd pay $500 to see DJB sing again.

  • @AirTractor24 I'll raise ya $500 for me to be able to play some music with Danny Joe again

  • Saw them in Dodge City Ks. in '79. Hell of an entertainer. R.I.P.

  • @63gump I was in Dodge that night also, had a great time. From Hooterville.

  • Smoked a doobie with them at the Hulla Baloo in Rens. NY while on stage sometime between 79 and 82

  • Did you know $500 will get your head blowed off? It will! Actually, probably a lot less given the current economic situation. This is why gun rights are important.A person has a right to defend his/her self!!

  • the lyrics are just awesome! outlaws on the loose running from the noose. did you know 500 hundred dollars will get your head blown off it will--ha ha ha!-i love it. seems to me this is one hell of a way to earn that pay

  • ultimate cruise music ! Molly hatchet rules!

  • Double Trouble; T-R-O-U-B-L-E

  • just dont ever associate this cool song with some jerk named dog.or dogface

  • I hear some of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Double Troube" in this song. The main riff, and the :27 part. And he even too the words "Seems to me..." from Double Trouble for that part. Anyone else notice it?

  • @whiteliongate I heard it and then read your comment. The phrasing on "seems to me" is just like Skynyrd's

  • @whiteliongate Sure did.the :27 is prominant.

  • with this cover i was expecting death or power metal

  • @fumahongos Nope just old fashioned kick ass southern rock.

That is the real album cover though and there are better songs on this album.

  • @rosepetal108 I agree completely.

  • The greatest opening line for any album "HELLLLLL YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

  • this is good ol fashioned ass kickin southern rock. The music itself and his voice is good. But if you listen to some of there lyrics its kinda dumb lol. its just my opinion this is the kinda music u listen to when hella smashed

  • these guys are good but they cant hold skynrds jock imo

  • AHHHHHHHHHH iron maiden ripped off the opening riff!!!!!!!

  • @aerosmithrox100

No, they didn´t. A lot of bands use a similar riff, listen to "Welcome to hell" by Venom, or "Curse of the pharaoh" by Merciful Fate.

  • @RiseOvDespair Yah, but iron maiden was the next band to do it.

  • @aerosmithrox100

Nope. "2 minutes..." is from 1984, "Welcome..." and "Curse..." are form 1982 and 1983 respectively.

  • DJB's whistle is a Molly Hatchet trademark

  • HELL YEAH!

  • @Kizales you didnt use enough Ls, its....

    HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHH

  • that Molly Hatchet whistle kicks mega ass. who is the lead singer of this band? he has one of the most badass voices i have heard, next to James Hetfield, Zakk Wylde, David Draiman, Brendon Smalls, Serj Tankien, Corey Taylor, David Lee Roth, Ozzy Osbourne, and the singer from Lynyrd Skynyrd (yeah, whats his name as well?)

  • @Kizales Dude you don't know who the singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd is??? Ronnie VanZant is one of the best ever!!!!!

  • @crash30183 is Ronnie the current one? because didnt their first singer die early in the band and his brother took over? either way, i love Skynyrd and Hatchet.

  • @Kizales His name was Danny Joe Brown. He died from complications from diabeties. You are right he had an amazing voice

  • @cen22824 R.IP. .......that sucks. Molly Hatchet is amazing, i have been a minor fan of them my whole life, but i have just REALLY gotten into their music recently. im workin on playin Gator Country on guitar and i can almost do the solos perfectly.

  • @cen22824 DIdn't know he passed. Loss of a great talent.

  • sweet !

  • Whats up with these southeren fellas they can shred above the rest.

  • very fine tune great to say the least

  • as someone said, redneck metal.......

  • I hate to bash them because they are my favorite band but they need to get back to there roots and toss justice. they have cool art on all there albums, even justice but what made them great was there music . not the album covers .

  • Molly Hatchet is my favorite band and I love most there songs especially from 78 to 90

because they were a perfect clear shot image of southern fried rock. DJB and Jimmy were rockin it those days and it was great . but now Hatchet is trying to modernize there image which to me takes away my passion for the band . Mckormick is trying

to make the band have rock/ pop/punk/country band. You cant do that to a band that has already lade footsteps a legendary band .

  • i met danny joe once. he seemed like a nice guy and down to earth. i got some really cool pictures of him that night..even one of him signing my double trouble cd.

  • this was as good as anything skynyrd ever done if not better

  • You know 500 dollars can get your head blown off!!!

  • What could be better than the "Death Dealer" work of art by Frank Frazetta (R.I.P.,) the voice of Danny Joe Brown (R.I.P.,) and the guitar army of Molly Hatchet?

    We will never forget!!!

  • Awesome song. thanks for up loading

  • I Painted this album cover for a class project in high school...1979... it is 3ft wide and 4ft tall. my dad had it in his livingroom for years. i still have it in my garage...

  • DJB's voice kinda sucked? You ride a fuckin Suzuki son??

  • I hate that metal stole vikings. Vikings wouldn't like metal.

  • @Skakid247 - Don't bet on it...........metal kicks major ass!

  • Danny Joe Brown was the SHIT!!!!!

  • Pass me a Tennis Racket! Yeah!!!!!

  • bad fucken song. gets me going!

  • great tune, luv to hear it LIVE,

the lyrics are just about what I was thinking back in '92!

  • "was into Frank Frazetta when I was a kid. This German kid moved to my apartment complex and he wanted to fight me for some reason, over nothing. We became friends and his dad had this 8 track tape. We went on a road trip and this music came alive to me."

  • ass0 that's the best voice you will ever hear next to God

  • Mr, RVZ did some proucing with these guys AWESOME chicks listen to Hatchet,

  • Kickin'!

  • Killer song.

  • Chaz Bono's favorite song.

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA "Did you know,500 hundred dollars will git yore head blowed off?? It WILL!"

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The sound of the south. Its good to be southeren bitches

  • HEEEEEEEEEL YEAH!!!

  • HELL YA!! i love this song

  • Danny Joe Brown is the "Mouth of the South"...period.

  • lol it is but i like both but its the same thing pretty much

  • ronnie van zant was producing molly hatchet when the plane crashed. this album was recorded in the same studio with skynards equipment. ronnie van zant was going to be hatchets official producer. i dont see how they could have ripped this off

  • kool ass band. i love this music.

  • their live album, 'double trouble live' is a rip-roarin package of ass-kickin southern rock.

  • DJB was remarkable

  • What an absolutely wicked beat, I can't dance worth a crap but it makes me want to grab a hot little country sweetie and hit the floor, time for some jukin'!!!

  • man i love this song, i got it for christmas, i wasnt even expecting the best of molly hatchet cd, but my mum got it and i fell in love with it even though i listen to heavy stuff usually

  • has anyone ever heard danny jos tribute to ronnie vanzant it rocks yall so i say heres to ya danny your gone but your songs remain

  • love it

  • Hatchet ROCKS!!! I grew up on these guys, in high school in Tenn. They don't sound like this, anymore...

  • i have this cd somewhere in the house.

i need to find it, cuz it rocks.

  • Definitely one of the Best Southern Rock songs from the 70's. Thanks, Dude!

  • I want a pair of belgium draft horse's that look like that! That would be cool.....

  • Isn't that a euopean war horse? I'm not big on tattoos,I only have one and that 's the only other one I would ever consider.Love that horse no matter what kind it is.

  • yep, some kind of "destrier" as its called, this type of horse of course went out of use when gunpowder got introduced, but some of the bigger workhorses of continental europe are descended from these war breeds.

  • how? danny's voice was awesome

  • Danny's voice was awsome.You're right.

  • @guitar1994player

    dang right.

  • Yea, He sings to deep.

  • @SmackAss0 his voice makes his music lay off the crack.

  • @SmackAss0 You have obviously never seen him live. I seen him with the Outlaws and .38 special the 1st time, then seen him solo with Blackfoot and he was fantastic. His voice was unique and different unlike the generic sound of today. In the era of southern rock everyone had they're own sound and DJB was one of the best. He was an awesome sing and even better human being. I've known countless ppl who met him including the former program director at WSHE in Ft. Lauderdale. He was awesome PERIOD!!

  • @MasterWitchDoctor Did You ever see them at "The Candystore"? Wow, Incredibly LOUD, cause the place was so small for all that Talent!! and backstage? Line-Em-Up! Whitelines, and ladies, HELL YEAH! DJB could'nt have been cooler, what a loss, ROCK-ON DJB!!

  • @MasterWitchDoctor Your damn right ... Nobody... not even Mr Van Zandt himself... can touch that strong growl, scratchy whisky voice and southern soul DJB naturally had ... God damn he was good ... I miss him a lot right now

  • I heard that too back then; in 78'.

  • A little infomation about the band name and where it came from. Some know it some don't. So the next time you meet a girl named Molly, look out.......

Named after a legendary Southern prostitute who allegedly beheaded and mutilated her clients.

  • I got turned on to Hatchet before Bon Scott Died...... Been along ride...

  • oh man I'm so on a Hatchet binge...it's been fucking years.

  • the south kicks everywhere elses ass definitely. man do we know how to have a fucking time. well we use to.

  • wow! this song kicks ass! american music is awesome! the words are shit kickin! $500 will get your head blown off ha ha haaaaa! the most awesome album art!

  • This is awesome!!!!

  • Hellllllllllllllllllllll Yeah!!!! . Banner on Bass!

  • Woah I just discovered Molly Hatchet for real.

I only heard headed for disaster before.

    I love them.
