  • @evilnewwargod Damn, your science is too tight.

  • If you start the video at 3:50, you won't have a clue what the fuck is going on.

  • @PBR69 yes the first time I watched at my friend's house, I literally rolled on the floor I was laughing so hard

  • Duckie pulling up in a sleek convertable with a hot blond in back and a monkey wearing a "Kiss My Ass" tee riding shotgun. See, this was the ending they should have gone with for I Am Legend, not that boring reshoot.

  • @albee1000 dougie*

  • ♫ a rap, rap, rappity rap rap

  • anybody know the song that plays in the background when duckie arrives?

  • @sabutna4evur It is an original song written for the sketch.

  • the ref is Bill Murray's brother

  • i should have majored in derekology

  • Damn, his science is too tight

  • I love Bob's bad bald cap.

  • Bob's still a better rapper than Whiz Khafala (don't care if I spelled his name wrong)

  • Lake Wannahabe. Hah.

  • Was that Jon Cryer driving up in the convertable?

  • @ralphyetmore yes, rather it was his character "Duckie" from the movie "Pretty In Pink"

  • @marehtseira Oh Crap! That's right! It only took me ten years to get that reference with someone telling me exactly where that reference came from.

Yeah. That's about my speed. :)

  • @13braury hahahahha

  • Of all the completely random, nonsensical ways Mr. Show transitioned between two sketches, this one has got to be my favorite.

    "Okay, okay, CUT THE SHIT!"

  • William Van Landingham?!?!

  • 0:40 lol

  • What can I sayyyyyyyy

  • hahaha fat kid got his throat cut!

  • Bob still fucking shit up old skool!!!! LOL at 4:05...VINNY PAZ DADDY!

  • @ 0.28, damn , william van landingham III's ho looks pretty sexy.

  • warning: lard

  • These kids are probably all dead

  • @Aginor27 Actually that one kid was the mini-mart manager on "Suite Life of Zack and Cody".

  • i love that professor murder throws his necklace to the floor and has another one underneath!

  • Wow, the smug look on William Von Landingham the 3rd's face is absolutely hilarious!

  • He ain't no Professor Pickles

  • I want that monkeys shirt

  • This movie was on cable last night. Good movie, for its time...

  • Hahahaha, this is such a random and ridiculous story... fat kids vs monks? What the hell!? Rapping competition? Slashing the fat kid's throat after he looks so happy and joyful upon finding the candy? This is so stupid it's funny.

  • Best Comedy Sketch of all time. Rap Rap Rap

  • fat white cunts

  • bob odenkirk raps like soulja boy

  • My brother and I still call each other home slice after all these years haha.

  • Freestyle rap comp!!!!!! tight nigga!!!! i love this show.

  • The part where the fat kid gets his throught slit came out of nowhere! Fucking genius!

  • The THIRD, my dear boy!

  • Nice Jon Cryer appearance! : )

  • umm...who's Kurt Vonnegut.?

  • @victordls Seriously? Slaughterhouse Five? Breakfast of Champions? He is a writer that passed away not too long ago.

  • genius!

  • Capt. Knuckles!!

  • Damn! His science is too tight!

  • The third, my dear boy.

  • Saul!!!

  • what movie is this based on

  • @SamDJones94 every 80's movie in existance

  • @gzussturbo Totally.

  • The Ducky bit is genius (its from the Molly Ringwald movie Pretty in Pink for those who dont get the reference)

  • Causin' Hocus Pokus like my man Kurt Vonnegut.

  • if you listen to the dvd commentary, Bob says in the scene where they lure the kid over to the bush and slit his throat, that in the script the monk passes by after.

The editor changed the order of it, so his throat is slit after the monk already rides by, so it's unnecessary at that point and therefore even funnier!

  • I've probably watched this sketch half a dozen times and I finally noticed the monk throwing gasoline on himself in preparation to set himself on fire. Good stuff Mr. Show!

  • OKAY CUT THE SHIT!

  • hey! ducky!

    get the fuck in here!

  • I like that an agent had to call these parents and tell them we need big fat kid your son would be perfect

  • Warning: LARD

  • the science of derekology

  • Okay, okay! Cut the shit!

  • The song played during the first two events is absolutely perfect. I missed like two minutes of the sketch because I was laughing to hard at the throat slitting part.

  • Gordon Crisp appearance FTW.

  • oh shit son and Brian Doyle Murray. this sketch has it all.

  • Sex with those two stopped meaning something years ago.

  • Who is the blonde at the end? Yowzas!!!

  • hahaha. he cut that fat kid's throat! hahaha.

  • this is great stuff!

  • The fat kid played on another great show. He was Gordon on Freaks And Geeks. 2 genius shows.... Rappa rappa rap rap rappa rap. Rap sucks

  • @ECOOL76 Wow I can't believe I never noticed this before. I must have seen Freaks and Geeks 6 or 7 times all the way through and who knows how many times I have watched this sketch.

  • "Niggas talking shit Ima shoot 'em in the gut

causin' Hocus Pocus like my man Kurt Vonnegut."

    Fan-fucking-tastic.

  • hahahah this show was always the best dude!

  • lol 2:12

    epic win

  • Agreed. The first time I saw it I nearly died hyperventilating from laughing so hard.

  • jesus christ this is the greatest sketch comedy show in recorded fucking history!

  • "ALRIGHT CUT THE SHIT!" is the greatest turnaround in sketch history.

  • Waiting for Guffman and Christmas vacation too. He's been in so many great movies.

  • lol, I just noticed the can of lard says "warning" on it.. i miss this show, too funny.

  • at 2:50 is a perfect example of why this show should be watched in full episodes.... the skit before this derek mentions how he's been getting into hip hop, and it's a pretty funny moment, when odenkirk remembers. he just says hip-hop in such a dorky way as he remembers... I thought it was really funny the first time I saw it.

  • Bill Murray's brother as the choice for playing the ref. was a stroke of pure fucking genius.

  • Is that who that guy is?! I love his voice.

  • Yes, it's Brian Doyle Murray. He played Lou Loomis in Caddyshack as well. He's been in a ton of good movies.

  • @FiveInchTaint its bill's brother

  • he also does the voice of Captain K-Nuckles from FlapJack

  • Owner and proprietor of Noah's Arcade

    Chris Peterson's best friend Gus

    Bubble boy's father/yoohoo truck driver

Just a few others to add to his resume

  • groundhog day...

  • Comment removed

  • this show needs a revamp mad tv is canceled but snl is still around and that shit aint funn7y. MR SHOw is #1

  • i like how the last event is makes the other two events pointless

  • ok ok cut the shit!

  • Prof. Murder

  • Best transition, ever!

  • William Van Landingham is my hero

  • The third, my dear boy

  • The third!

  • The third my dear boy.

  • hahaha kurt vonnegut...

  • I love the fact they edited it to where David slits the fat kid's throat AFTER the race is won.

    Jon Cryer cameo FTW.

  • Remember when Family Guy completely ripped off 2:10?

  • Nope

  • yep I remember that. Good call on that.

  • family guy ripped people off? has hell frozen over cuz that never happend before

  • This is every damn movie made in the 80s

police academy/revenge of the nerds/animal house

  • Bob's face at 0:34 is ART.

  • I can't tell if William Van Landingham the third iis being smug or trying not to laugh.

  • i cant get past the stare down with van landingham

  • Damn, his science is too tight!

  • i love that bucket.. WARNING: LARD

  • I knew a pedophile who called himself duckie after that 80's monstrocity.

Mr Show= win win win win WIN!!!!

(I guess that was a non sequitor)

  • the monk with the gasoline killed me. haha

  • What an amazing show lol! Why can't there be more like this?

  • the throat slitting part had me losing it.

  • is that andy milinakis???

  • i think you mean the best part of tv history..

  • lmao

  • Relax homeslice... The science of Derekology is officially in effect.

    Genius!

  • So good

  • I laughed my ass off at the gasoline.

  • His science is too tight!

  • William Van Landingham???!!!

  • *The third*, my dear boy.

  • Duckieeee!!!!

    One of my favorite bits.

I love how they edited the scene in post, so that instead of slitting the kid's throat SO they could win, David slits the kid's throat even though they had already won.

  • causing hocus pocus like my man kurt vonnegut

  • Yeah, the fat kid getting his throat slit is definitely pants-pissingly funny!

  • I pissed my pants when he slit the kids throat

  • ROFLOL I loved William Van Landingham on Freaks and Geeks.

  • Don't get me wrong, the rest of the skit is great, but the first 45 seconds or so are so representative of how genius this show is. Just, you know, this little skit about monks that goes on for a while, and then out of nowhere, the summer camp contest, against the snobby rich camp, which is ALSO the fat camp, followed by that completely awesome fat kid showing up and Bob Odenkirk staring at him with more hate than I have ever before seen.

You could write a fucking thesis on just the first 45s

  • Exactly. That exchange of glares was perfectly representative of everything great about this show. The impact this show had on the present ADD brand of comedy will never, EVER be properly thanked. You can't even fault Bob's horrible bald wig - with all of the other glorious aspects of this sketch. You HAVE to be entertained.

  • the bald cap enhances it.

  • "William van Landingham?!?!?!" lol

  • The third my dear boy, the third!

  • This is the funniest video of all time.

  • damn! his science is too tight! ahahhahaha

  • A Ringer!

  • sadly, tibetan monks apparently aren't going to be able to make it to the next olympican... the big, once-every-four-years one, too..

  • like my man Kurt Vonnegut!

  • love the absolutely dreadful and unnecessary throat-slitting, 2:12-2:16. and the authorit-figure-saying-screwit-and-partying-down cliche at 4:27-4:30.

  • I wish Ducky and Dr. Baloney would magically appear at perfectly opportune times for ME...

  • when he slits that kids throat its the most insane thing ever.

  • That was my favorite part. I started laughing so hard.

  • my favorite sketch XD

  • LOLLLLLLLLLL classic

  • Kurt Vonnegut!

  • Word!

  • some of the fat kids are very cute

  • hahahahahah the throat slit holy shit. that is so unexpected

  • "Damn, his science is too tight!"

  • So is the band Professor Murder ripping off this sketch? I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing since this sketch and the band are cool.

  • i cant stop laughing at that fat fuck getting his throat slit

  • Fat kids...
