  • I don't get it.. I'm fathomed all of these Candyrat Record Musicians are way better than faggot ass Bieber, yet He's the one with all the fame, ridiculous..

  • damn voice, you got it!

  • things i love about CANDyrRAT musicians is that they're so simple and quaint that you can easily see his story in the song!

  • You´re really good! Love your voice and your melodies! When are you planning to go on a tour? Come to Brazil! I would def be on the front row! Congrats Justin!!

  • Any new songs or album in the works?

  • There's not one song of his I've heard, that I don't like! His music is so..chill.

  • Too many people like the wrong Justin...

  • Everything this guy does is just so completely honest and heart felt. Its like his soul is in the music.... Thank you for another beautiful song.

  • Beautiful, tiny, charming

  • very nice wish i could sing like this despite my stuff being up! zero comments by all means let me know what u think

  • Spontik, Soooo wrong ..

  • linda canção parabens mano aki do brasa bem loka mesmo nóis

  • This guy plays a great guitar.

Please accept this invitation to view my originally written songs, performed in my basement and recorded on my MacBook, no frills.

    Peace,

    Eric Wagner.

  • see vid titled MY CAT SONG "TOMBOY"

  • hes not cas good as mayer at all singing but hes a better guitar player

  • sooooooooooooo talented!

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else love how he lets that harmonic ring out at 3:02 ? :)

    Amazing song, yet again Justin.

    Keep 'em coming!

  • beauty ! I Love it ! Keep rockin it your rocking His kids into peaceful rest

  • Loved the song, playing & singing.

  • These are the guys that write our mainstream music today. This quality music always gets twisted by music producers to get the younger generation to buy it. I guess us older people are too cheap to buy cd's anymore lol

  • I think he's a better singer than Mayer. Mayer is too mush-mouthey. This guy's diction is much better.

  • @Spotnik63 question of taste

  • hi, emotive performance, good voice, i have posted a video response of my song, CRY FREEDOM. would you interested in covering/recording it for youtube or other or passing it on to ther musicians that may like to cover it. let me know what you think. have a good year

  • Very good, he does remind me of John Mayer.

  • he's a very good looking man..hehe..and i like his voice too..he can be the next john mayer, even better.. =)

  • @oOmitchiOo no, his music is good, but it's not unique.

  • that's not a nice thing to say :(

  • nice simply acoustic just gets you in that mood !!!awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • i love de song!!!!

Does anyone knows what's the tunning for the song??

  • he doesn't look blind to me, but may have some problem in his left eye, by the way, a marvelous artist

  • Amazing artist! Love his style of music! Hey, does anyone know whether he's blind or not? I think he's blind, but I can't really tell.

  • Lmao why does everyone thing a good soul artist.. is blind? if you were blind.. I be you'd think hes black.. hahaha

  • What's the point in looking at your left hand if you're blind?

  • why would he look at the fret board if he's blind?

  • once again thanks candyrat! another amazing artist beautiful :)

  • his voice is unique. so soft. :D

  • very cool

  • whats with the candyrat people and harmonics? xD

  • lol

  • @ThaEther

    I just don't know, but it's addicting.

  • @ThaEther seems like candyrat artists are one of the few artists fully understand the the acoustic guitar (and it's endless possibilities) and actually use them :P

  • @K1LL14N haha yeah, i'm not very good with harmonics sadly enough xD

  • @ThaEther it's just a matter of practicing

    for Hours :P

  • @ThaEther harmonics are amzing

  • @sommervilleTRS117 they sound good, but i feel it kinda interrupts the music sometimes

  • @ThaEther Harmonics are beautiful, bro. When one hits harmonics, you're literally shaving off all those extra frequencies, and instead of getting a thinner sound, you get a more refined, pure sound, and it's beautiful. That's why they use them. Sometimes I just chill with my guitar and just play around with harmonics because they are so relaxing. Oh yaes?

  • ummmm...i dissafuckingree big time there... there is NOTHING like just taylors music... its the most mellow, unique vocals and instrumentals i've ever heard...gabe bondoc tries to be a little fagg r&b singer

  • youre right, but i dont think that he stole the song.. from time to time it happens, that you got a melody in your head, but the song already exists..

i mean, liste to all the popsongs, they ALL sound EXACTLY the same..^^

  • hahaha not

  • ohhh, what a Feeling! very good...

  • Tabs for this song available - write me a private message, offer something, and get the tab!

    :)

  • whats r u wanting to trade for?

  • i can play the song. if someone gets stuck, i can write tablature for him.

  • I would toattly appericate tabs..=]]

  • that would be very very helpful actually =)

    thank you x

  • dude! please! tabs!!

  • that guitar sounds so good!

  • Très belle chanson...

  • Beautifully sung, beautifully played...

  • and VERY well written and arranged.

  • hey cuz!

    awesome music =]

    keep pushing on in America

Alix told us that you got a job at a country/folk club

    well done!

    love Sim1

  • NICE! Of course, I'm always drawn to the sound of a Larrivee! Like your style!

    Dan

  • its such a sweet song ...........

  • TABS!!! please!! tabs!! pleaseeeee

  • figure it out yourself. you'll grow as a guitar player. and you have the video to help you along.

  • This is the easyest song of Justin ... I ve alreaddy covered a cuple songs of him and ... this is ways easyer than all the others .

Example ... The beginning is basicly D to G and A .... and some different sort of this basic chords ;) Maybe my vid can halp you ! G

  • Mate, it's so hard to learn these songs =/ I can't just magic it up like some guitarists can... But I can learn it from tabs... I could probably do it if it's in standard... But if it's not, no chance =/

Please try and respect that this is to hard or time consuming to try and work out from scratch.

  • it isnt?

stop learning by tabs and keep repeating the practice, try to create your line of repetition like you like it, try to covet the basics guitar styles you want to achieve and keep repeating and repeating. ohh yea... and something about scales...

  • And Id'e just like to add that it's to time consuming or hard for some**** guitarists... I honestly wish I could play this though... But iv'e only been playing for just over a year... And havn't really tried to learn songs by ear yet...

  • Final reply... Yeah, I tried... Apsolutely impossible ¬¬

  • Very good! Thanks for sharing!

  • a very good song, everytime I listen it I think it improves

  • Very, very nice. You rock!

  • this is just soo freakin awesome!!

  • this sounds better every time I hear it!

  • the MXL V69 Really suit his voice

  • great song! good job!!

  • such a sweet song

  • Yes, 2 MXL V69's... a very unique choice, by the producer, but nevertheless, very fitting... recordings turned out beautifully =)

  • Now that's Mmmmmm...usic. Amazing stuff. I'm a new fan just after listening to just this one song.

  • 2:44 amazing and beautiful!!

  • yay real music lmao

  • what kind of mic is that?

  • large diaphragm condenser, though that's not too useful, sorry =\. brandwise, I'm not sure - there are a ton of makers.

  • Its an MXL V69

  • Damn! You're really a talented guy Justin. What a beautiful song, excellent rhythmic backdrop, and tight jazz progressions. Love it!

  • is he in standard tuning?

  • yep, key of D

  • my mistake, he's actually 1 half-step downtuned, but with standard intervals

  • That's how a love song should sound like! ^_^

  • amazing. man, i just love it.

  • love the sound

  • Hey super, well done from Ireland! ;)

  • Very nice

  • It gives off that relaxing feeling... Very nice.

  • beatiful

  • i prefer the tightness of standard tuning. although half a step down allows for easier singing ability due to not singing as high haa

  • that's talent from GOD

  • 顶~我喜欢~~

  • his very best song to my mind... brilliant

  • he's amazing.

  • Justin plays at a place here in Charlotte that I play at. I must say, he is absolutely amazing to see in person. But Im pretty sure that he plays a lot of his songs a half step down.

  • "but i'm pretty sure that he plays a lot of his songs a half step down."

uhh...so? Not like that makes him any worse of a musician

  • any less of a musician

  • I think he's referring to the tuning?

  • Cool. Way to throw out the name calling, now I am in my place because you are so mature.

  • please people just enjoy the music,I promise you´ll have a better sensation

  • wtf is wrong with all you, hes saying : NO, PLAYING ONE HALF STEP DOWN DOESENT MAKE HIM BAD. omg your all dumbasses

  • playing half a step down only lowers the tone a li and makes the strings a lil bit slacker, kinda lets you move around fast cos you dont have to press as hard, slash used to do itt

i think i might try it haha :P

  • I play half a step down all the time lol. Although I usually do it just for the freedom of having an extra lower step available. So like, I will play with a kapo on the first fret, or, if needed, I will drop down the half step.

I think people have just misunderstood my comment somehow. I just tried to defend Justin Taylor when I thought someone was trying to dis him.

  • yeah my pc fucked up when i tried going on youtube lol it said all the vids were no longer avaible

  • what are these chords? i tried to figure it out and.... no luck

  • this isnt in standard tuning is it?

  • it's standard, at least that's what i can figure out from his barre chords.

  • 100% no standard tuning...

  • Jonborne. It is standard tuning. or well, ½ step down but you can play it with standard too.

  • what the fuck the vid is no longer avaible? i was just listening to it

  • eh no im watchin it now :S :S

  • when will tabs be upp??

  • yummy, your sound is sexy

  • CD is absolutely amazing.

  • Cool relaxing song. Like a day in the beach with your dream girl.

  • Found a new favorite artist!

  • This song is so good ive viewed it like 20 times lol, honestly this song makes you feel amazing. Good work keep ur goin!

  • Very very nice. I really enjoyed listenin to this. Great voice, smooth, relaxing style. Ill probably by your cd now. Reminds me of damien rice (which by the way is amazing).

  • And so what, it 'taps/seconds' is about the least import factor of a song!

  • cool

  • Sounds like Rivers Cuomo

  • very very nice ^^

  • nice ....nice

  • Awesome voice

  • AMAZING! Smooth listening!! Good job, man!

  • neone no the tuning, or perhaps a tab for this?

  • if im not mistaken you can buy offcial sheet music from candy rat. the only thing is i dont konw if all artist are covered. i sure hope so though. i need some from this guy.

  • Justin Taylor hasn't posted any tabs on Candyrat's site. I think he's one of the artists that refuses to sell tabs of his music

  • pretty sure this is standard

  • nice one!

  • Hardly, he's guitar stuff is really easy to learn only by watching and listening comparing to the other guitarists at candyrat.

  • I dont see whats "Hardly" about any of these comments

    Very very nice

    Awesome Voice

    Amazing, smooth listening ect

these are just peoples opions, and fair enough hes not as good as lets say Andy Mckee, or Don Ross, but hes different

  • Justin dude you have it nailed. Unbelievable!

  • Beautiful playing, amazing voice. You truly are talented. How many girls have you wooed with this song?

  • Haha definitely woo'd me with this song. His voice is very nice. Love the song, definitely looking into buying the album!! :-)

  • You're all just ridiculous....

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

  • youle get far bro nice vocals..

  • cool cool very good i hope you got famous :)

    go on dude

  • wow....this song is just simply amazing..

  • Very nice. Great style great sound.

  • mmmm...manley golds

  • your cute.

  • His voice is very unpretentious. I like it.

  • James Taylor-ish

  • you play the guitar really nice.

you seem to have a lot of imagination.

    congratulations.

i'd advice you to be more chilled out.

you make some mistakes -at the guitar- that

if you play a liiitle slower, you might avoid...

nevertheless, it was a nice song.

    you are kinda talented.

  • where are the mistakes?

  • dude. He's extremely talented. The way he plays is very misguiding. Sounds simple but mate, he uses stuff like argumented 5ths and major 9ths which are pretty fucking difficult to play because the changes are so subtle and you have to emphisise all the changes. Really trying to get my head around them at the moment and they are very frustrating.

  • sometimes true art just doesn't have to be analyzed

  • i completely agree about the music industry monopolizing everything and picking what we hear, and that people like this guy dont get nearly enough credit. but in a way its a good thing cuz the thing we like about this guy is hes so refreshing and different. it would lose that if it wasnt for our being desperate for someone like him.

  • I totally agree with you that it is refreshing to hear someone like this, but I don't think that the reason for it being good is because there is so much shit around the reason for it being good is because it is good. Record companies don't want good artists anymore they one one time hit bands that they can sign and make loads of money of there CD and then dump at a minimum cost. The are trying to make it harder and harder for you to actually make your own mind up what music you like.

  • thats not actually true. record companys don't get so much money from record sales anymore because of downloading and the like. They make their money at big gigs with sponsors. For example i went to see roger waters and Carling was the sponsor. Carling paid the record company to stick their logo up everywhere. Lots and lots of moneys.

  • uve just proved my point why the fuck are carling paying the majority of the money to a record company.

  • i agree. but im not saying we think hes good because we have low standards. its just that too many people like him would make him seem generic and he would lose his uniqueness.

  • I disagree I think you are confusing uniqueness with talent. Take for instance Radiohead or Pink FLoyd or Dave Matthews band all pretty popular but still good and still refreshing.

  • Great reasoning man & so true....Floyd,Radiohead & Matthews although popular still make some of the greatest music ever written.Popularity doesn't define quality but more so accessiblity. This guy is talented, kind of John Mayerish-

  • it really bugs me when people think like this. He is what he is no matter how many people listen to him and if he becomes popular then he deserves it. Its not his uniqueness that will change, its the uniqueness of your own taste. Why do you feel that you have to be one of a select few that have these secret tastes, do you think it makes you special? There are two types of art consumer in the world, the selfish that find works of art and hide them from the world and those that share. Who are you?

  • much more cost effectively than was being done at the present time so to carry on making the amount of money they were used to making they had to produce people who were going to make them more people without talent who can appear on the front page of magazines that the record companies also own. Its much cheaper to create someone an have them flop after one CD cause if they are good there contract might just run out and then they can start there own label.

  • I really hope that wasn't directed at me because i wholeheartedly agree with almost everything you are saying, but I strongly disagree with the statement "if he becomes popular then he deserves it." because by that you are saying that people who are popular deserve it which is totally false. Over the past few years the number of manufactured artists have grown considerably and purposefully as the industry knew that with the internet good music could be shared around

  • Nowhere did he say that people who are popular deserve it. He simply said if he does become popular then he deserves it. Do you see the difference?
