I have read that the piston driven Frigidaire brand on the older Pontiac and Cadillac make excellent steam engines.. need no modification... just shoot the air or steam in the reverse side.
@my1little2pony Look up "Rankine Cycle", and you'd have your answer. This is the same kind of motor that modern submarine torpedoes have in them, (like the ADCAP).
@my1little2pony i would imagine it would put out allot less power than the engine that usually drives it.. thats why we don't use steam any more. sure would be neat to build tho.
gonna use a Denso 10 cylinder to cool my house..

@plaebslayer There are reed valves in the head. The head was removed from this compressor, so you don't see the valves.

Lets' glue mice to the pistons. Then put the cover on and turn the pulley.
